It was totally different from the picture. I ordered online and picked it up at the store for my kid’s birthday. No strawberries no chocolate decorations. It was just a jam on the cake. Very very disappointed. I wish they just canceled my order and didn’t send me “your order is ready” I don’t recommend to order a cake for a special event, you will disappointed and upset. I don’t understand why I had to pay the same price as the picture. It was plain no strawberries no chocolate decorations.

I bought this for my husband's birthday, because he loves tres leches cake. Although, it tasted OK. It was melted when I picked it up. The one at pick up was so melted that the store personnel went and got another one, but it wasn't much better. It was about half as tall and the strawberries and chocolate completely slopped off to the side of the cake by the time I made it home. I am not sure if they didn't mix the whipped cream correct for that batch of cakes, and it was either take the dysfunctional cake or no tres leches cake for his birthday. I may purchase again, but never through order pick up where I can't see the way it looks before I buy it.

We have purchased this many times, unfortunately this last time the cake wasn’t right. The bottom layer was mushy and the top dry. It also didn’t have the chocolate on the top like usual. My daughter was v disappointed as this was the cake she wanted for her birthday.

I’m really bummed that this wasn’t good. The cake was dry and crumbly. Absolutely zero tres leches. The strawberry filling I had high hopes for because it looked awesome, unfortunately it didn’t taste at all like strawberry. Just like jellied sugar. For $18+ I expected better but I won’t be buying this again.

So "tres leches" translates to "3 Milks." And this one is great! Exactly how a 3 milk poke cake SHOULD taste. When making a poke cake you literally pour a wet ingredient over a freshly baked cake and then chill it. I like jello poke cakes topped with whipped cream in the summer, it's a fantastic treat that turns the dry cake into a moist flavorful cake with almost unlimited flavor profiles you can't get any other way. But one of my favorite poke cakes is the Tres Leche variety where you pour a combination of evaporated milk, condensed sweetened milk, and heavy cream over freshly baked cakes. This combination is excellent with cake and the whipped cream topping is lighter than traditional icing. Sam's club hit this one on the head, and from reading the other reviews, I can tell, most are by people that have never had a poke cake.... or at least never had a 3milk poke cake and therefore say it's too wet and think that's a bad thing. However, good tres leches should not be soggy and it should not disintegrate. Tres leches should have a light flavor and a texture reminiscent of vanilla custard or pudding. It should puddle milk when you pierce it with your fork. but this one takes the milk well and doesn't turn into a sloppy mess (hard to accomplish, but Sam's does a great job with it!)

Cake is delicious but only 4 stars because I picked it up for a party at 12:00 noon it was served at 3:00 pm but was still frozen in the middle. Frozen middle detracted from the flavor a little bit! If you buy it make sure it sits out till fully thawed!

This is always a family favorite, so I bought it on a Friday morning and kept it cool until dinner. Even though it sat on the table for over an hour, when we cut into it, it was frozen in the middle! This was the first time we've ever experienced this, so it must have been just taken out of the freezer at our local club, but if you're planning to buy it at the last minute, you may want to ask the Bakery staff when it was taken out of the freezer. I had no idea that these cakes were ever frozen!

This cake was beyond delicious! I purchased it as a Birthday Cake for my 89 year old mother It was a BIG hit in my family and I will buy it again! It was a very large cake and I expected it to last at least a couple of days. Boy was I wrong! My family devoured it!

Good BUT........ cake is delicious you can tell someone put effort into putting it together. Icing is tasty. Cake us light filling is moist and tasty. However pecan crusting has to go. This is my third cake in the space of a few months and pecan crusting contains shells. Each time more and more where now inedible. Almost broke our teeth so now we just scoop off and throw away. Not worth breaking teeth. Too bad. This could be a truly great cake. Very moist indicative of the tres leches filling too bad But crusting ruins it. Not worth the hassle of scraping this off Or wasting food. They also stopped producing the pineapple tres leches cake which was even better. They could save money waste and customer satisfaction loss by just tasting it themselves and removing chopped nut crusting

This cake was moist and delicious. It does sag after a couple of days due to the strawberry filling is only in the middle area diameter-wise, whipped cream in the outer middle (I believe so the red filling does not leak through to the outside) We were skeptical because of the one-star reviews but it was the only cake which looked like a birthday cake where we could utilize curbside pickup. I am sure it depends who puts on the strawberries but ours seemed cleaned and well presented. We were pleasantly surprised on how big it was and would order it again.
