I replaced the factory run-flats on my BMW 135i convertible with the Michelin Pilot Super Sports. This tire kept coming up in all the BMW forums. Boy, were they right! Before, I called the car the Flintstone mobile because it rode like it was on rocks. The Super Sports made it a totally different car. Rides MUCH better. I also autoX and do track days, and the Super Sport has proven to be a very competitive modern grippy tire. I recommend it highly.

These tires WOKE UP my Mini! The handling is incredible and road noise had dropped over the factory runflats to half or more! Handling is off the charts, compared again to the factory runflats. I now can't wait to drive my car every day! I love these tires!

One of the best tires I have ever owned. The Super Sport summer tires gives me confidence on all road conditions. This tire has grip in wet or dry weather. The offer me full control when approaching sharp curves and rounding corners. My MB C300 Spot 4 Matic already handled well the Super Sport makes it even better. My tire installer told me when I got these tires that thy had "hops" in the front pair and I am not sure what that means. What is a "hop"? I just hope that these "hopped" tires don't translate into premature wear. The only thing I don't like about these tires is that I will have to take them off in the winter.

I now have 10k miles on these tires, which I cannot rotate due to different size front/rear, and they still have a lot of tread remaining. I am expecting 20-25k out of these tires. Granted, I don't drive my car that hard (Lexus IS350C). These tires are like glue for your car. They can take interstate off ramps at speeds that make me feel uneasy with no slipping or squealing. They stay plastered to the road in heavy thrunderstorms and I have yet to hydroplane. The other reviews are true...If you are looking for a performance tire, this is it. I will definitely replace these with another set when the time comes.

Fair weather driving only. The handling 4 sure,look of the tire is also a plus but this was one of the best upgrades I could have done to my 350Z. These are just an all around well designed tire. You can tell when taking high speed turns,the stopping and acceleration. Michelin is the best they put it all together in this tire. They make me want to get another set for my Z now. I hope Michelin never stops making this tire and if they do please put me on the contest list to win a set. Thank you very much Michelin for making this driver very happy on my purchase.

as a performance car enthusiast, I always have high performance tires on my cars. after having chewed through a several sets of p-zero's, I switched to pilot super sports and have not looked back! better handling, braking & cornering and almost 50% more tread life. I just took delivery of a new SLS GTC and it came with pilot super sports as standard. I guess the boys in Affalterbach have finally discovered what I already knew!

After a year and a half this tire has a persistent leak down that accelerates as pressure lowers. It is unreliable and there is no excuse for producing such a poorly manufactured tire. Tire seller is unable to repair this tire despite 2 attempts. So get ready to replace more than one.

I wore my previous tire down to the cord on the inside edge of both tires. Bad camber maybe? They were 265/40/18 and I moved to the Michelin Super Sport 265/35/18 and the ride and grip is amazing. It is totally stable and it grabs hard when I accelerate through a tight corner. It just won't slide on me anymore. My 11 year old Porsche feels like it did the day I bought it! Kudos Michelin! First foray into Michelin car tires was on a 2001 Volvo I purchased in late 2000, I think they were MXV all season sport radials. On a trip home from family on I-95 North, I was behind a large truck that concealed a giant car-swallowing pothole, there was NO TIME to react all I could do was tighten the grip on the steering wheel and pray. I was sure we were going to crash from the impeding puncture. The impact was so horrendous my teeth gnashed against each other. Amazingly, the car kept going straight, no flat. When I managed to pull off the highway I could see the left from rim had a 3 inch crack in it. But the Michelin tires DID NOT BLOW OUT. What price can you put on saving your entire family? Michelin, (to borrow Volvo's slogan) "FOR LIFE!" Fast Forward to 2011 and acquisition of an '06 E55, a monster of a car. One set of Pilot Super Sports and here goes. My Michelin Pilot Super Sports have not let me down in the several months I have owned them. I am a very aggressive north east driver with a very stout '06 E55 AMG beneath me. This car can rip mortal tires to shreds under acceleration and braking. I have yet to under-brake going into a bend, come out of a hard accelerating corner sideway and in fast sweepers the heavy (4400 lbs) car does not wander, waver of drift off line. Truly a remarkable piece of technology. I literally trust my life to my Michelins. ** [I dont condone speeding to anyone, a hi-perf car doesnt give you skills to stay safe, not even 21 years of racing will, but the latter does help with instant decision making.]

Great dry grip, excellent rain handling, GRADUAL breakaway cornering, braking is controlled, better cold weather grip. Before the Super Sports the rear would instantly break loose, not now I can even use some throttle. Honestly Michelin just makes a better all around high performance tire. I have 7 months of driving, 5000 city and 3000 highway for a total of 8000 miles on them. There's still over half the tread on the rears, that's good if your not familiar. I've owned the F1-GS, GS-D3; Supercar, G2; Pilot PS, PS2, and Super Sport. Supercar, G2, and Super sport on Z06 only. It would be surprising if you regretted buying these.
