Nice, smooth drive, nice appearance, good ratings

I only recently purchased these tires after extensive research online. The tires that came on my vehicles were all chewed up from the occasional off road driving I do for recreational purposes. Most of my driving involves commuting on local highways, and local travel. I wanted a tire with off road capability but not one that was noisy or difficult to drive. So far I am very impressed with the goodyears SR-As. They break quickly, provide a smooth ride, and I hardly notice any difference from my highway only tires. They had OWL (outlined in white lettering) but I had the tires installed with the black side only which suites my style and vehicle better. Haven't driven in snow or ice yet.

Perfect Match

This is my second set of the same Brand, make and model Wrangler SR-A P 255 /75 R17 113S SL OWL CM 50,000 Mile Tread life. The first set which I just replaced had just over 53,000 miles on them and the wear pattern was so even on all four tires that I could not help but replace them with the "Exact" tire. I hade the tires rotated and balanced every 5000 to 6000 miles and the alignment check twice a year. I drive a 2005 GMC SLT Z71 Crew Cab and let me tell you the noise level was very low. Be it on the interstate or busy city streets, these tires handled nicely and braking was smooth. Though the winters where I live are not harsh compared to most northern states, the tires still hold up when snow and icy weather hit.

Wrangler SR-A

Fairly good tires at a decent price. Installation personnel did a good job but I was supprised at the amount of weights needed to balance the tires. I previously had Firestone tires on this vehicle and they required much less weights. If Sam's had more brand selection in the P225/70R15 size I'd probably not have chosen these.

Nice tire.

Very good tire so far. After two sets of 75 profile series OEM tires I decided to change to the 70 profile series Wranglers on my Tacoma P/U when they needed to be replaced. So far I am pleased with the change (cannot comment winter traction at this time). The ride may be a little stiffer but the look of the truck is improved with the wider tire, and the tread looks much more aggressive than the OEM tire but is still quiet.

no smooth ride at highway speeds

Have almost 80k miles on my 2012 Sierra Denali 2500HD and have gone through ten tires so far. Two tires had belts separating, one at 1500 miles and another at 50,000 miles. The first was replaced and the second was replaced with a new set, not because of worn tread, but because of more possible tire issues with the original. Balance and ride at highway speeds has been an issue always, since the complete new set at 50,000 miles, the problem is actually worse. At 73,000 miles two more tires replaced because they can not be smoothed out with the "road force" balancing. Ride vibration is now better but not correct. I have almost always used another brand and get around 70-72,000 trouble free miles per set, trucks or cars. I have never had to go through so many visits to a tire dealer and so many tires to end up with the same problem that is only a little better .

Steer clear at all costs!

My 2017 Nissan Titan came new off the lot with Goodyear's SR-A tires. 4 years later I had to replace them despite my truck only have 28,000 miles and being current on all maintenance. I live in a mild climate (Tennessee) and am easy on my truck as you'd guess from the mileage and the SR-As just don't hold up. If you're getting a new vehicle that has these tires as original equipment I'd encourage you to negotiate with your dealer to swap them out for literally anything else.
