Smooth, rich and perfectly balanced

Smooth and well balanced whisky with a rich, layered profile. You get notes of dried fruit, oak and a touch of spice, with a slightly sweet, elegant finish. Great choice

Great Taste

The Glenlivet 18 is a remarkable expression of craftsmanship and time, standing as one of the finest examples of what a Speyside single malt can be. From the first pour, its rich golden hue catches the light, hinting at the depth and maturity within. The aroma is elegant and layered — ripe orchard fruits, honey, and gentle oak mingle with subtle spice and toffee, creating an irresistible invitation to taste. On the palate, The Glenlivet 18 is exceptionally smooth and balanced. Flavors of sweet apricot, hazelnut, and warm vanilla unfold gracefully, complemented by a touch of oak and spice that adds depth without ever overwhelming the senses. The texture is silky and refined, leading into a long, luxurious finish with whispers of dark chocolate and soft smoke. Every sip showcases the distillery's legacy of precision and patience. The influence of both American and European oak casks gives the whiskey complexity and sophistication, making it ideal for savoring neat. The Glenlivet 18 isn't just a drink — it's an experience, offering warmth, richness, and a sense of quiet celebration. A timeless choice for those who appreciate true refinement in their glass.

Beautiful on a cold day

Old gold colour. Rich fruit aromas and toffee notes. Beautifully balanced, with bursts of sweet orange, long, with spice and moist raisin notes.

The BEST!

I have been drinking single malts before they were the rage. I was a big fan of The Macallen for years until my friend gave me The Glenlevit 12 and I was hooked. I have made it my mission to try all The Glenlevit years and types. I. Doing well, I have bought and tried 11 so far. I thought the 25 would knock me out but did not....it was very good but I must say the 18 is my top pick by far. I may have mentioned it to Everyone I know so I’m good for birthdays and special occasions. I’ll keep trying what ever you come out with though.

Rich and Special

This is my 'go to' Glenlivet for a special occasion. More flavor and deeper, more complex flavor than most. I keep some around to celebrate a special event, most particularly the opening of a new condominium, and a bringing home a trophy elk from a wilderness area mountain hunt. The only thing more special is the 21 year old I purchased when visiting the The Glenlivet in Scotland...

A Welcome Surprise

I've often been skeptical that the added cost of an 18 year (2.5 times) is justified over the 12 year. In comparing the two, the answer is an overwhelming yes. This is one of the most pleasant scotches I have ever tried, especially neat. I cannot see how someone could go wrong by adding this to their collection. Although I did not pick up on the citrus notes, the florals and grasses were there leaving a clean lingering want for more on the palate.

A friend gave me a bottle and to be honest I don't like all scotch but this was a good pour. The front hits you like a rye but smooths out with a good mouth feel and a hint of vanilla in the finish. Great to have on hand with good friends.
