[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's a good packaging with detailed instructions. We got this last week and seeded in some bold spots in our backyard. Those are little green granules you spread and water after. That's what we did. In instruction it's said to fertilize the area but we skipped it. Little by little the new grass starts to grow.

I followed the instructions exactly: loosened the soil, spread the seed evenly, kept it consistently watered, but weeks later the bald patches in my lawn still look the same. While a few blades came up in other areas, the spots I was really hoping to fix remain bare. Disappointing, especially considering the time and effort I put in. Wouldn't recommend if you're trying to patch problem areas.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We laid Pennington grass seed down and I kid you not less then a week later baby grass was sprouting up. After several weeks are yard is looking fantastic. It has made the grass fuller and even better, soft!! I wish the bags were a bit bigger for the price. I do like the thick plastic type bags, no worrying about a rip and loosing seed. Definitely would recommend Pennington products!! Great grass for practicing sports!!

I overseeded using the 40# bag. Now everywhere I planted it, this horrible, shaggy, fast growing, wide bladed monster grows. It looks terrible. I had a lawn expert look at it, and he recommended killing the lawn with glysophate herbicide and starting over. The good news is that the muddy areas in my lawn have been replace by something green. (Planted spring 2021)

Ive always bought Pennington, a great product with a reputation. I do not know what is with this seed. I put it down in mid March, covered with erosion blanket and watered twice a day. Were at april 24th nothing has sprouted. Glad i wasted money on 2- big bags. Stay away from this. Buy something better.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't know much about grass seed, but our dirt is very clay-like and keeping a nice, green lawn is always difficult. We had already decided to seed the yard this year in hopes of growing new, thick grass. It's been about a week since we put it down and I'm already seeing new sprouts of growth, so I'm very hopeful that the patch we tested it on will be beautiful and lush in no time. My boyfriend did say that the seed looks perfect and he has very high hopes that it will continue to grow and give him the lawn of his dreams.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This seed pack was very easy to spread on the areas I wanted and I have noticed that a week after planting that the seeds have started growing very nicely. I made sure I watered the area enough to get them going. They are making a good progress so far so I do expect over time it will create a beautiful bright lawn after seeing how well it sprouted.

Quality seed at an extremely reasonable price. I have started hundreds of lawns with Pennington and had successful results every time. Remember , your seed is only as good as your soil prep, correct planting , soil temperature and providing consistent watering in order to achieve quality germination. If you follow all planting instructions Pennington advises you will have a great looking lawn .

Absolutely love these results!!! I killed my 1/2 acre lawn last summer in order to restart with Pennington KY31. Last fall I got crazy results with 125 lbs of seed planted. Another 75 lbs of late winter over seeding has filled in to create a thick, lush carpet. My neighbors pay $$$ for monthly lawn treatment and I'm proud to say that my yard looks better than most. Southwest Missouri has had pretty strong heat so far this summer and I am using 2/3 less water than in previous years. I plan on buying more as soon as the price drops this summer. \ This has done wonders against the invading bermuda and zoysia grasses that led me to kill the yard and restart. Thanks Pennington
