- 4 out of 5 stars review8/13/2013These tires, MXM4 in 225/45/17 are on my everyday ride. They replaced a set of Pilot A/S Plus, which replaced Pilot's. I only run these 3 out of 4 seasons, using dedicated winter tires. For the 3 seasons I do run these they hold up very well. Certainly grippy enough for everyday driving with spirited moments. They actually grip better than the Pilot A/S Plus'. Hydroplaning resistance is also better. As for noise, these are very well designed and are actually rather quiet at all speeds. The only suggestion I would make to improve them is for a rim guard rib in the next generation.
Solid Luxury Performance Tires
happymercdriverOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review8/19/2016Our 2014 Chrysler 300S was equipped with Firestone Firehawk tires from the factory. The road noise was extremely agitating especially on cement roads or bridges. We had a constant noise which was diagnosed as wheel bearing noise but after replacement of the bearings the noise continued and it was suggested it might be caused by the tires. As a licensed aircraft mechanic with former auto shop experience I doubted that suggestion, however upon installation of the MXM4 tires the noise disappeared, the handling is totally more enjoyable, the ride is 100% improved and we are now enjoying what rides, drives and feels like a new car!
We now drive another car than before installation
noneOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review8/18/2013First bought these tires for my primary car three years ago. I average about 24K miles a year and these tires ride smooth, handle the road very well, are quiet and have worn better than any other tire I have ever purchased. So impressed that I purchased a set for my son's car early this year. If any of you have a young driver in the house, you want their car to not just be mechanically sound, but also have safe tires. With the Primacy tires, I feel confident the tires add to the reliability of him driving his Civic. I'm planning on replacing my original set later this year with the exact same Michelin Primacy tires. Yes, they are not the lowest cost tires out there but you get what you pay for and I'm not about to short change something as ...

SgthondaOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 3 out of 5 stars review4/24/2022These Tires were original to my FWD 2014 Buick Regal Turbo. Rotated every 5K miles. They were comfortable, decent performance and overall good tires. I recently replaced them with Continental Extreme Contact DWS06 Plus. These last a good long time, 100,000 miles, 50,000 miles each tire on the drive wheels which is right on par with the warranty. The reason I didn't purchase these again is because they are really expensive. I understand that they are touring sport tires so they have to be both comfortable and have good performance and tread life but when i switched to the continentals, the new tires were just as comfortable even though they're ultra performance all season. These tires run even more expensive than the critically acclaimed Mic...
Good Quality, Questionable Value
MilesOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review5/16/2019Review of Primacy MXM4 after 6 years and 84,000 miles. Best tires I've ever owned. Tires are on a 2003 Infiniti I35. Excellent in all areas: wet, dry, highway, around town, even treadwear on all four, and always quiet. Now worn to 3/32". If you have a newer sedan, and can still find the size you need, buy them.
Great Tires
Joe the teacherOriginally posted onmichelinman.comConsumer CareAwesome Joe the teacher! Thanks for taking the time to submit a review. - 5 out of 5 stars review3/22/2013I bought a '13 Escape Titanium at Christmas, and by the end of Feb I had 3 of the OE tires replaced for different reasons. I got tired of blowing money on them so I found the closest size Michelin made in the Primacy MXM4. I absolutely love them! They ride noticeably smoother, handle better, and look better! Keep in mind this is on a brand new car with less than 5k miles on it, and I could still tell a major difference. They should come OE on the Escape Titanium! Time will tell how long they last as I've put about 1k miles on them.
Should be OE on '13 Escape!
bob1987fOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review11/7/2022Tucson, AZ 2022 monsoon season was intense. I got caught in several micro burst ( rain bomb), streets were flooded. I was able to maintain my speed but I did increase my braking distance, fearful of hydroplane. I worried for nothing. The tires grip the road perfectly. Customer for life.
Great for rainy weather
2twstd4uOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review8/8/2013I drive 70 miles a day for work alone, mostly highway and I must say these tires are far better than the bridgestones that came with my vehicle. No road noise, smooth ride, great grip on dry or wet pavement, and cut right through snow. This is the first time using Michelin tires and they have gained a loyal customer from now on in.
Great tire
David8Originally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review8/16/2013Seeing the Michelins on the 2013 Honda Accord Sport helped in my decision to buy the car. Immediately, we road tripped our family of four 2,200 round trip. The Michelins were smooth and quiet on all types of asphalt and concrete surfaces. And if you've ever been in sudden Florida downpour at interstate speed, you appreciate the traction and confident feel the Michelins provide. I love the look, road feel and feedback of my Michelins and would highly recommend them to anyone.
Excellent Ride
IndyozOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review6/26/2019I initially bought another brand and didn't like them at all so went back a week later and got these instead and so glad I did! Much better handling and overall feel on the road. Great in the rain, having gone through some downpours recently. No hydroplaning and I felt secure. Highly recommended!
Great Choice!
JJcontrolsOriginally posted onmichelinman.comConsumer CareThanks for the awesome review JJcontrols. Michelin customers ROCK! - 1 out of 5 stars review8/27/2023All four tires are down to 2/32 and 3/32 inch at 29K miles. The tires were OEM on our 2018 Tesla model 3. Extremely disappointed at the premature wear. All the more surprising given our satisfactory experience with Michelin tires on our other vehicles over the last decade. I like the ride and handling, but cannot recommend these tires since they are poor value for money.

I am a 30 year old man and have been driving since I was 16. So I have experienced many different tire brands and tread patterns. When I had the MXM4's installed on my car and drove away. I immediately noticed the difference in road noise and traction. It seriously felt like I had put new shocks on my car! I will never buy another brand of tire again. I am a Michelin man now :) thank you for making such a great product and keeping them affordable for even men like me that are making less than 40k per year. I now have about 20k miles on these tires and they are also wearing beautifully. They will out last the warranty without a doubt.
Felt like i put new shocks on my car
ajace031Originally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review8/9/2013Although I drive a Civic Si, my driving habits are conservative. These tires corner well, have excellent braking characteristics in wet and dry, are quiet and well-behaved on the interstate, and look great. I've only had these tires on the vehicle for a couple of months, so I cannot comment on their capability in a New Hampshire winter. During the worst of the winter, however, I switch to dedicated snow tires, anyway. I can't think of anything I've disliked about these tires, other than one seems to be losing pressure at the rate of about 2 psi a week. I'll keep a close eye on it although a detailed examination of the tire off the vehicle revealed no obvious leaks or punctures.
Top notch
RexOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 1 out of 5 stars review7/5/2017I purchased my 2014 Avalon in October 2014, with Michelin tires. At 30k miles, they had to be replaced. I then bought 4 new Primacy tires in Cedar Point, NC. Now my car has 54K miles and, according to the tire dealership here in Jacksonville, NC, I have about 3,000 miles left before I'm going to need a new set. this is totally unacceptable and I'm now looking for a new, and better tire. Any advice for me?
Grossly Overrated!
BillOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review8/8/2013I've purchased Michelins before and have always been satisfied. My family has been riding on these for one year now, after replacing the factory Goodyears on our 2008 VW Passat Wagon. Right from the start there was a very noticeable reduction in road noise. Overall ride, handling and wet traction have also improved. This is significant, because we depend on this car, and these tires, to travel through Florida's intense summer downpours and along the twisty mountain roads of Western North Carolina. I didn't think I could be more happy with the five-year-old Passat, but with these tires it rides and handles better than new. And in typical Michelin fashion, treadware has been minimal.
Solid performance, quiet ride.
Adman97Originally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review8/12/2013This is the first set of Michelin tires I have ever purchased. I am pleasantly surprised at 1) how much they improve the ride, 2) how quiet the ride has become and 3) how much the mileage has improved on longer trips. I am extremely happy with my decision to purchase these tires and am happy to recommend these tires to anyone who wants to improve the comfort of their driving experience.
I just love these tires.
Originally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review8/13/2013Automobile and driving safety were my first, most emphatic and most enduring lessons prior to being permitted my first license in the early 1940s. Through experience and research since then, I have learned and continue to learn essentials of tire design, manufacture and durability. Michelin is the brand that always tops my lists for these and other desirable traits; and for this reason I always demand Michelin as original equipment in new car purchases, and for replacement; and I have them now on both of the cars in my family. Before replacing a set of tires, I always call the US Michelin distributor to discuss possible new models and features since my previous purchase.

AmtakOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 3 out of 5 stars review1/13/2022I bought a 2018 Honda Accord Touring new with these tires. I drive pretty tame in Kansas...flat...no curves. I do a lot of gentle engine breaking and with a CVT there isn't much exciting about 0-60, so these tires live a boring life. The car lives in a garage too at night. I got about 35,000 on the original set and decided to replace with the same tire. I am at 68,000 and it appears I am about 4-5k miles from a third set. I used to run Goodyear Assurance Comfortred's and get the advertised mileage (80k) in older Accords when I used to travel highways all the time. I think 45-50k would be realistic on these tires. 35k just seems low. Also, once you get down to about 4-5mm of tread depth, the noise really picks up.
Great Handling, Tread wears a bit too fast

The Michelin have brought my Lexus SUV up to the proper standard it so deserves. Soft ride and very little road noise. At present we have 30,000 miles on the tires and they are still going strong.
Enjoy the soft, quiet ride.
pixieOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review8/13/2013I bought the Michelin's Primacy MXM4 for my wife's VW –Passat. The next day we left for our trip from Pittsburgh to Sarasota, FL. Day One: (Estimated rate of speed 65 mph) traveling the WV Interstate highway in a rainstorm, rounding a curve the pick-up truck in front of us did a 360 + and slammed into concrete medium barrier. All I could do was hit the brakes and move into the right lane. The car stopped true and straight before we got to the pick-up (never a problem controlling the car). The front end of the truck was a mess but "Thank God" the driver was OK. Without these tires I am convinced the results would not have been the same. About two weeks back from our vacation we traded-in the 2008 Passat for a 2010 VW-CC and since the CC did ...
