- 5 out of 5 stars review5/31/2026These all season MXM4 tires are great. I ordered these for my Nissan Altima 2019 because I’ve had various types of off brand tires and they have not lasted a year without an issue such as flat tire. I’ve gotten these tires early 2025 and it’s been over a year and over 20,000 miles driven with these (all 4 tires still intact). Rain or shine and I’ve ran into my share of potholes. These have been the best performing tires for me and comfort level is superb on these as well. Will forever re purchase. Worth it!!! A+++++++++++
Comfort and quality
Fast driverOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review10/8/2016Best all season tire I've ever owned. The Primacy MXM4 isn't perfect nor even best in class in any single category, but is a standout because it excels in all (disclaimer: I don't live in the snow belt and haven't driven them in snow). The tire provides a superb balance between ride comfort and control... taught and confidence inspiring while being comfortable. For a non-directional tread its hydroplaning resistance is excellent and for an all season its lateral wet grip is exceptional. Dry grip is excellent for a tire in this class. It's also the quietest tire I've ever owned. Good, even wear. Will continue to buy this or successor.
Superb all-season tire
BelmontTDIOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review8/31/2017Over the past 40 years of driving a number of different company, & private vehicles, I have tried top end tires from all the major tire manufacturers. My Volvo S80 came equipped with the Michelin Primacy MXM4 P225/50R17 tires. We do a lot of city & highway driving. I was really impressed with the overall handling & performance of these tires, better than anything that I have used in the past. The tires are very quiet, & my gas mileage is outstanding. The hwy mileage rating for our vehicle is 43 mpg. On longer highway trips I am consistently averaging just over 50 mpg, which is amazing. I highly recommend these tires....
Outstanding Tire - Great Performance
VagnsterOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review9/25/2016Drove to Lake George, NY from Jupiter, FL-total of 7,100 miles round trip. Hit white squalls near JAX(Similar to winter white outs). Remainder of trip was mostly dry w/occasional heavy rains. Never once hydroplaned or skidded. Smooth, soft, quiet ride...although tire pressure was 6# low. Local WPB dealer forgot to check tire pressure during tire rotation, nor did they check windshield washer fluid. Added proper air pressure for return trip and noted firmer, more responsive handling. Great stopping/slowing when required as drivers occasionally drifted/changed lanes with out looking. I'll remain a loyal customer!
Sure Footed and Reliable
MSHOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review12/14/2016I drive through all seasons from 16 degrees to 119 degree weather, so I depend on my tires literally. They grip great in rain & snow and tolerate the heat well. I've had the same set for over a year. With routine rotation and nitro because of altitude change, they are diehards & lifesavers
Love these tires
RaquelOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchase1/11/2025This was one of the worst tire services EVER!! My wife took pics of the rims right before service. It took 4 hours to get the tires changed with an appointment. They damaged the rim on my new Accord Sport. Then denied it til my wife showed the pics. They damage the rims on my old Accord but I had no pics to prove that. They said they would pay for it at the store. They lied. We had to file an insurance claim with them. 30 days and nothing so far. Terrible customer service. The tires are amazing the service and failure to take care of my damage atrocious. My advice ALWAYS TAKE RIM PICS RIGHT BEFORE SERVICE so you don't get screwed up rims so you have proof. Service at your own risk.
Damaged My Rim What A Mess
A Very Ticked Off Custome - 5 out of 5 stars review10/12/2016I drive a 2013 Honda Accord Sport and these tires came on my vehicle. I would say I drive pretty moderately so you have a reference of how hard I was on the tires. I currently have over 94,000 miles on these tires. That's not a misprint. For a 55,000 mile tire you wont get a better one out there. I am getting a new set since winter is coming here in Washington State and the roads are getting worse. If it was springtime I would probably wait as they still have adequate tread left. Some road noise with these tires is the only negative I would have. Yes they are more money than most tires, worth every cent in my opinion.
Incredible reliability, wear and value
CruiserConanOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review8/10/2026Tires ride smooth and quiet. I don't have a heavy foot on the brake and haven't put a great deal of mileage on them, so everything's great.
Smooth and Quiet
DeeCee1409Originally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review2/28/2026Replaced Continental H Rated which were good tires. Wanted security of run flat. These Michelins are very good. Have great road feel and are not noisy. My tire guy says "There's Michelin and there's everything else." He is right .
Solid performer
Carolinas guyOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review10/24/2016Based on the first 1500 miles these are great tires and I noticed an immediate reduction in road noise and better handling over the OE tires that came on my GMC Denali Terrain.
Great tire

dickOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review1/27/2026Michelin. Enough said. All four of my vehicles are equipped with Michelin Tires for a reason. Safety, handling, comfort, traction and durability are only a few of the reasons I depend on Michelin Tires to keep me and my family safe!

Mark B NashvilleOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review11/8/2025I did a ton of research and decided on these particular run flats for my BMW 3 series, I have only had them for a few days but we did have a huge downpour yesterday on my way home from work and I never felt any hydroplaning or instability like I did with my previous set of tires. I am super happy with this set of tires and 10 of 10 would recommend. As for performance we will see but I cant imagine they will not hold up to the brand name.
Great Run Flats for performance car
BMWgirlOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 5 out of 5 stars review12/12/2016I've had the tires for 10 days. I used the tires in a variety of conditions & all result in very high ratings. On dry pavement the tires are quiet and I feel very much in control. Handles well at all speeds; smooth, firm, & responsive in a variety of maneuvers. In the rain and these tires do not disappoint in any way. The tires provide good handling & stopping on wet surfaces. I drove with these tires in a 10 inch snow fall in the Chicago area. I am totally impressed with the handling in the snow. These tires are a good investment & I am totally pleased that I made the purchase. Buy these tires, 5 stars!
A Great Tire All Around
G in the MidwestOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 4 out of 5 stars review8/5/2016I agree with a previous reviewer. These tires made a huge difference on my car years ago. But I just put the Primacy on my SUV and I getting lower gas mileage. Where I drive and how I drive hasn't changed. Only the tires. I enjoy the comfort of these tires but the price wasn't worth lower mileage.
Disappointed
RodOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 3 out of 5 stars review4/6/2026Good tires when new. Had a problem where the two tires had broken belts during winter. Replaced one tire as it was so bad the vibration at highway speeds was severe. The other tire I lived with and its now down to 4/32 so I a shopping for new tires. Always ran Michelins so despite this poor experience I will likely replace with MXM4's.
Good tires despite broken belts on two

The next 20K they were not near so quite and smooth; and wore out at 40K miles, much less than the 55K rating. I live in Houston where heavy rain occurs frequently, so I require great wet weather traction tires. I won't replace with MXM4's for sure.
2015 Acura RDX - New Vehicle
Mike S.Originally posted onmichelinman.com - 2 out of 5 stars review4/29/2017Got them on a new 2015 Lexus CT-200 f-series. Happy with their quiet and handling. However down to 6/64 tread at 30K check, and service advisor says I will need new tires in 2K miles. That's a LOT less milage than the claimed 55K "warranty" that no local dealer will honor (including Lexus). They were rotated every 5K miles by dealer. Use car to commute to work on freeway ~40 miles each way.
Tires run well, but wear too quickly
DanSBOriginally posted onmichelinman.com - 1 out of 5 stars review8/28/2026Lousy wear. The first set came with car and got 35,000 miles wear. Replaced them with a a second set and they are ready down to 5/32 of tread in just 18,000 miles. They were advertised to be good for 50,000 miles. I used to respect the Michelin brand, but not anymore.

All 4 Michelin Primacy tires installed in March '24 on 2015 Ford Explorer XLT are worn down and need replaced after 29k miles as of October '26. Regular tire rotations were performed and all tires show ever wear across the groove pattern, but are just worn down to the tread wear indicator bars. Overall Traction, ride comfort, and noise were average at best.
