I hate the new packaging

Great spinach, but like others, I hate the new package top. The hard plastic top was much better. The new one just sticks on pulls back. It won't stay closed and the spinach wilts after a few days. Is this a way to sell more spinach? I have been buying this for years but will be buying less of it now.. 😡

Hit or miss quality

The quality used to be consistently good. Lately, more than half of the times - the containers are wet, mushy, smelly leaves. The quality is has gone down. I am switching to local food market where it is a little more expensive but I am not throwing away half the container.

Filthy

I have been buying spinach from Sam’s club for years, and never had an issue with it. Since they have switched over to the Earthbound brand, I have purchased this spinach twice, and BOTH times there has been red DIRT and MUD on the leaves. I am no longer purchasing spinach from Sam’s. A lot of stores sell prewashed spinach so why would I get it from a store where there is a high probability that the spinach won’t actually be clean.

This is a winner!

First time I bought this I was surprised to find nothing but clean fresh leaves in the entire package. Every time I use this I feel confidant that I am using a clean quality product that nurtures my body and is easy to use. I also am a member of "the other membership club" where I lately bought a different brand of 1 lb organic spinach. That brand has the more typically found occasional "slime" of decomposing/rotting spinach among the product. So with that second brand I can't just grab a handful of spinach and throw it into the blender knowing it's clean and whole; no, I have to take time to pick among the leaves to remove the rotten from the good. I won't be buying that one any more.

This is no longer available in my area

Another supplier is now being used. Packaging is horrible and the quality of the spinach is well below average. Honestly it looks like each spinach leaf has been through a fight - bruised, torn, soggy and inconsistent color. Bring back Taylor Farms to Des Moines.

Love these! Family salads for almost a month.

These trays allow us to make about three weeks of salads (1-2 times a week) for our family of four. We add premade frozen grilled chicken, nuts, boiled eggs, diced ham lunch meat, diced tomatoes and cheese to make a cobb salad or fried boneless chicken strips, eggs for a country style salad. We have also put taco meat on top of spinach with salsa and a dollop of sour cream for a taco salad. Sometimes we add spinach to our sandwiches or cook the baby spinach for a side dish. It's always fresh when we first buy it and it lasts about three to four weeks when closed and well refrigerated. Cheap, but good quality. Highly recommend.

Spinach wet and spoiled

The date on the clamshell was excellent. The spinach should have been good for 7 days, but the spinach was packed wet and it was spoiled. This is the fault of the packer, Taylor Farms. I won't buy their spring mix for this reason. If spinach and spring mix aren't dried properly, they get slimy.

Yuck! Bring back Taylor farms!!!

We have been buying spinach from Sams for years. All of a sudden they changed from Taylor Farms to this earthbound brand..it is not up to the quality we knew and lived. It’s dirty, tough, and doesn’t taste good at all..it’s hard to chew. Please bring back Taylor Farms!!!

Unsanitary

Why is there a big hole on the bottom? I put this in the cart with the bottom touching the cart. I don't want my spinach in direct contact with the dirty carts!! That's just nasty! This is the first package I've seen with this 1.5 diameter circle cutout on the bottom. Not buying this again!!

poor quality control

Used to keep fresh for up to 3 weeks, but lately barely makes it a week before going bad. However Last time I purchased, there was a LIVE ladybug in the container.! I guess that speaks to the freshness of the product but I ended up throwing the whole container out! Waste of my money, seriously.!
