I'm a happy puppy, my tale is wagging!

I'm on my second set of these tires for my G8 GXP. I got over 40,000 miles on my first set. Of course, living in West Texas we have alot of open roads. They also had a few trips down 1/8 mile drag strip. Did a few long hauls to include a trip up to Ohio then to the east coast, down through Maryland, Virginia, Tennesse back to Texas in both dry and wet road conditions and never felt anything but in complete control. BTW, I am really meticulous on proper inflation and rotations.

These are excellent all ...

These are excellent all around. As a Max Performance tire, I expect less than pillowy ride, but the PS2s ride acceptably well, given the great dry-raod grip. Grip and hydroplaning resistance was good in the wet, noise was pretty good, and handling was excellent! My first pick for an aggressively daily-driven performance car.

Best Tire For Your Corvette

When I was searching for tires for my supercharged Corvette, I found out that the ZR1 Corvette comes from the factory with Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires. I bought a set for my Vette and I have been completely satisfied and amazed at how they handle and how well they wear! My Corvette corners like it is on a rail. I have no problem making .94 g on a turn and never break loose! The car hooks up well at the drag strip as well. These tires are the best I have ever owned.

These were a HUGE step up ...

These were a HUGE step up from the stock tires that came w/my 04 Nissan 350Z. Since I'm not supposed to mention competitors, one can pretty easily find out the make and model of the stock tires. Handling is so much better w/these. If I took a turn at a given (relatively high) speed w/the stock tires, I'd start drifting a bit. With the PS2s, no problem. They stick! I'd gotten recommendations of these tires along w/another competitor from a coworker and a popular 350Z site.

Worth every penny

I love that my new Michelins out handle my old OEM tires in both wet and dry, and that their tread life is twice as long as the OEM, I love that they are both quieter, more comfortable and yet better control (yes tires are supposed to give up one of those in order to do the other .... very good Technology). I work in Chemical manufacturing, we used to hate dealing with Michelin because their quality control was so much more demanding than the other manufacturers but boy do I love it when i own their tires. The only thing I dont like is that I am cheap and they are at the top of their price bracket, but if a cheapo like me would buy them again then you know they are good. Oh yeah.. I did buy them again, put Michelins on my wifes car too (I should copy and paste this review under her name tooo, nothing changes but our names)

This tire is excellent on ...

This tire is excellent on the highway as well as the track, I have a 5 star rating on this tire except for the fact that when it rains it does hydroplane and is a little scary. Given the fact that I use these tires on a viper and the width makes a diffrence on water It still does what I expect of it.

Horrible Wear

I bought a set for my '08 BMW 335. Rears needed to be replaced after 8,000 and I do not run the car hard. The fronts are now in need of replacement after 15,000. They ride a bit harsh but not as hard as the run flats I had prior. So much for a tire that is rated for 20,000. I guess I'll go for a much harder compound and hope to get better mileage. The ratings for fuel efficiency, handling and braking are more a product of the car than the tires.

reply from Supplier Response

We are sorry to hear that the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires did not meet your expectations. Our Consumer Care team has reached out to you via email in an effort to have the tires evaluated by a local Michelin retailer. In regard to fuel efficiency, tires that are designed and manufactured with lower rolling resistance rubber compounds provide the potential for better gas mileage. This is often a coordinated effort with vehicle manufacturers.

Excellent performance tire

Excellent grip during dry and wet conditions while new. A very quiet and comfortable tire for the type of performance you get with it. This is definitely my favorite tire out of all the performance tires that I have used. Only thing is that the wear life is not very good and also grip becomes really poor when it's down to less than 30% of life. I have hear the Super Sport is much improved in these two areas and I can't wait to try it.

Poor Tire

2008 BMW 335. Tires are 18 months old, less than 20K miles. Rear tires. 1 catastrophic failure (blow out) and 1 with cords showing necessitating replacement. My car is 100% mechanically sound with no issues. I have all my service done at the dealship (or stealership depending on your perspective). I do not spin the tires, do burnouts, hit curbs and avoid potholes. These tires should have lasted much longer than the did. I have photos to prove and would support a class action lawsuit for a defective product.

Within the first few ...

Within the first few miles after installation on the new tires, I realized they were much quieter than the OEM tire. I was able to carry on a conversation and listen to the radio without having to yell or turn the volume up. It became a different car. Indeed a great car then.
