I love the spicket choice. It's all set up and perfect for a rain barrel

***Product arrived early*** AWESOME!, only problem is I ordered 3 and only 2 arrived, spigots are INSIDE the barrel, you must remove the screen and get them out to be installed. OUTSTANDING product for the price, hoping I get my third barrel sooner rather than later.

The only thing that kept this from 5 stars is that the image is not what you get-the image indicates the barrel has a spigot and a plug-it does not. You will need to find an appropriate sized spigot (the opening is standard sized, so you need to find a spigot that will fit a standard 5/8 in hose. The second opening (about mid way up the barrel) will need a spigot or plug, also 5/8in. The barrel has a bung plug on top and an opening with a screen for your downspout to drain. You will need a specialized tool to remove the bung, so I would only open it if it was absolutely necessary. The barrel appears to be new and clean (no weird smells or stuff sticking to the inside walls). All you need is two 5/8in spigots or a spigot and plug to get started harvesting your own water. I would recommend some plumber's tape for the spigots to make it secure and prevent leaks. You can paint the barrel or cover it in wood or whatever you want to do with it when it arrives. I have several rain barrels, some bought, some acquired, and this is the cleanest one I have received so far.

I like the barrel but all of the pictures on the Sam's website show it having a faucet and a plug for the other outlet. It came with just the barrel and that's all. Had to go and buy the other items.

this was a good value for a 55 gallon barrel. The holes are Pre-Drilled and threaded. not sure why the drain plug has two notches which would not allow the plug to go in all the way so it leaks there. also, the spigot seems awful high on the barrel compared to my previous one. I connected this via hose to my first one and it seems to fill up. And I'm a little leery of the spigot. although it's brass, It seems to take a lot to close it. Time will tell

This barrell has an odd smell but it will serve purpose outside to catch rain water. The details/Specifications forget to indicate spigot, tape and plug are inside barrell. Must remove top screen to access. Must wash occassionally too. Details need to be updated online. Very Nice. Bought on on sale July/Aug 2023. Reps are not knowledgeable of specs. Not for human drinking water or showering.

You have to take off the screen to find the package inside that contacts the plugs. It easily could have been taped to the top and would save a lot of Hassel for customers. But I just happened to take off the screen and noticed a package inside and it contained the plug and spigot! Other than that, good barrel for the price!

arrived in unsatisfactory condition, torn up packing they looked like they were used or stored in a field

It went up in price from less than $100 to over $300 when I first bought it a few months ago. Also it leaks badly around the red stopper, which makes it useless.
