The pedaling motion is smooth. there's not much intensity to it once past the initial beginning day-to-day practice. I had to zip tie the straps together by putting a hole in because they bust open due to the velcro not being strong enough.

This is one of the best purchases I have ever made. When my Medicare recumbent bike went away after 30 days, my knees got so stiff after my knee replacement. After receiving this bike, I realize it was because I wasn't peddling anymore. This bike will keep your legs from being so stiff. I feel so much better!
