We had the results in 2 days from the day I sent it out as it was a 2 day ship. I beat the UPS drop box pick up by 1 1/2 minutes as he got there early. They are very fast, not only did I have the first results, I got another 4 days later. They are very professional and if your test is positive you get a free Physician Consultation. If we were to ever need another test, we know where to get it. Their labs are CAP & CLIA-certified. Which ever way yours comes, make sure to follow the instructions to the letter. BEFORE you register your kit online, check the type of return shipping. If it's 2 days, BEFORE you register your kit, go online and find the nearest drop box as it MUST go out the same day you register and do the test. If the return is standard shipping through the mail, You'll want to make absolutely sure of the time your mail LEAVES the post office. For example: ours leaves at 1:15 pm M-F and 11:15 on Saturdays. If you put it in the mail slot after it's left, it WON'T go out till the next mail time. If you go on Saturday after the mail has already left, it WON'T go till the following Monday and if that Monday is a holiday, it won't leave till Tuesday. That takes it way out of the time line of being shipped. It was supposed to have a second bag with a pocket for your info card, I just used a zip baggie. You only get one swab so this really must only be used if you can comply because it isn't meant for major screwups. It takes a few days to get your results. There are not that many steps, other than that just have to be sterile and package it the correct way to ship. Easy.

This is a good option for those that do not have easy access to a testing site or for a "just in case" use. The kit comes with very thorough instructions that you should read over a couple times before testing yourself. Note that the kit indicates you should not take your sample over the weekend but rather on the same day you plan to ship it out, and make sure to get it to the drop off location before the last pickup of the day. The label is pre-paid UPS, so you can also arrange a pick up instead if available in your area. Also there are instructions on when to wash your hands both before and after taking the nasal swab. It helps to be near a mirror when you take your nasal swap sample if you are doing it solo. The test is easy to do and fairly comfortable- you only need to insert the swap around 1 inch into your nostril. If you are purchasing as a just in case option- be mindful of the expiration date on the collection tube where you place the swab sample. The expiration date on the kit I received is about 4 months away.

When opening the outer box you need to be mindful that the next box will be returned with your sample, so don't destroy the box. The testing itself is a simple nasal swab and very easy to do There is no discomfort. I have received my results and I'm waiting to hear from the company to discuss them. Overall I found the testing to be very helpful.

Make sure when you receive your kit, all the components are there before swabbing. I got everything we needed to swab my 80 year old mom. Swabbed her, sealed it in the package, put it in the box and sealed it in the provided UPS package. Went to put on the label and NO UPS LABEL. The swab has to be sent the day that the sample is taken or it is null and void. If I had more time, I could have looked up the address where it was to be sent, but it was 3:20 on Christmas Eve. UPS closed their doors at 3:30 and it was a 10 minute drive. I could see my $110 circling the drain.
