[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In a big fan a Merlot and this didn’t disappoint. The typical fruity jammy flavors came through but I also got a hint of toasted coconut and vanilla from the rum barrel it was ages in. This was a great tasting wine with great aroma and flavors. This paired well with Gouda. I also feel that it would be great with roasted chicken and veggies. Will be picking this one up again.

I really thought this one was smooth then my girlfriend opened the next bottle and she said this one is way smoother. This is not super sweet, biter or dry. I would not recommend eating with dinner. Snacks,cheeses and fruit.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Loved trying Robert Mondavi Private Selection Rum Barrel Aged Merlot California 2019. The aroma was mild/earthy. The appearance was a nice deep dark red. The taste was smooth, could not taste the rum or any strong bitter alcohol taste, which was very nice. The finish was slightly acidic, but pretty well balanced. Overall it was an enjoyable dinner time wine with our chicken sandwiches and I would purchase in the future on my own.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Merlot had a great flavor. Spicy, aromatic, smooth, slight hint of sweetness, and could taste the woodsiness of the barrel of rum. The rum was not as dominant tasting in this wine but the molasses and vanilla were. It paired well with the turkey for dinner. Would recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] pleasant fragrance. nice color. definitely could taste the plum and blueberry. I didnt care for the hints of rum & coconut flavors, vut they werent too strong. It was a little too dry for my taste, but that’s just me. I also wish it was a bit sweeter (again, thats just my taste). Paired very nicely with cheese and crackets, steak, and chocolates (we tried with each). If you like Merlots, I’d definitely say you will like this. Reasonably priced. Easy to find in the stores local to me. Gave it 4 stars only bc I’m not a fan of coconut, rum or Merlot in general. if you are, you’d prob give it 5 stars.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Robert Mondavi merlot is one of the best I have tasted. This merlot is so smooth and full bodied. I enjoy this wine with steak, pasta and cheese. It has notes of berries and chocolate and I love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really love this rum barrel aged merlot. Robert Mondavi has done it again. You can really pick up on notes of rum which really gives each glass a unique, bold flavor. This wine really is unlike no other, I'm very impressed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Smokey blackberry on the nose. Full bodied flavor, if simple. Blackberry, grapes, oak, and cane sugar. If you like merlot, you'll find it overly sweet and simple with a twist. If you don't, you'll find it inoffensive and sweet.

It was delicious and different! You definitely get hints of stone fruit but the rum barrel provides a unique addition to a traditional Merlot. I loved it with a roast and root veggies!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like this merlot a lot. More than I expected. It was very juicy and not too dry, without actually being sweet. At first you can really taste the rum barrel aging, but after drinking for a while that fades and is hard to notice.
