[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The scent of this wine did excite me, as I did get the slight scent of what I remember rum to smell like (haven't had it in a while). I did get a rum aftertaste, but not the type I was expecting! It reminded me of when, as a young 20-something year old, I decided to open up a bottle of bacardi and down some. Very strong taste! I do think i would like it more if I thought to chill it a little first. I will try to do that for next time!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Never really cared for Merlot til I tried this. It always had a ‘funky’ smell (sorry but that’s the best way to describe it). However, this is a life changer. Yep, life changer! The aromatic scents in this is amazing and it actually taste good. Didn’t think it was possible, but Ya! The price point is reasonable which makes it even better!!!! This is the only Merlot I’ll be purchasing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bold flavors but not over powering, paired well with the steak i prepared and i'll be looking at incorporating it into more meals! You can really taste the rum/barrel flavor without it being over powering.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This wine was my favorite! It had a perfect taste and all the flavors seemed to mix well. I could have kept drinking this wine all night. I drank this wine with buttery crackers and sharp white cheddar cheese, as well as green grapes. The aroma of this wine was a bit stronger than the other wines I tried. I will definitely have this wine again!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This wine had a strong aroma of rum, and jammy, berry notes. It was medium bodied. The barrel aging process came through in the flavor of this wine. I could imagine enjoying this wine with tropical cuisine, dark chocolate, or red meats.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sadly this one was a little too dry for me. My friends enjoyed it a little more than me but I was happy to drink it also. It was drinkable with some beautiful fruits and a selection of cheese. Very smokey and rich!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Robert Mondavi's Private Selection Rum Barrel-Aged Merlot with rich aromas of molasses and maple, and flavors of plum and blueberry. Very sweet and absolutely delightful. I enjoyed experiencing the unique flavors added by aging this Merlot in Rum barrels. I think this would pair very well with spicy dishes, like jerk chicken or Korean short ribs. I look forward to trying this again at my next gathering!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It has a smokey, charred aroma that made us all curious to try it. its color is lighter than the cabernet. its flavor has a tart quality to it it went well with chocolates and appies. We enjoyed it but no one was sure if thed purchase a bottle on their own.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Loved trying Robert Mondavi Private Selection Rum Barrel Aged Merlot California 2019. The aroma was mild/earthy. The appearance was a nice deep dark red. The taste was smooth, could not taste the rum or any strong bitter alcohol taste, which was very nice. The finish was slightly acidic, but pretty well balanced. Overall it was an enjoyable dinner time wine with our chicken sandwiches and I would purchase in the future on my own.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I thought the rum barrel aged merlot was very easy to drink besides the fact it was ages inside a liquor barrel. Similar dark ruby color and you can tell there has been some deep flavors brewing when barrel aged. Overall I really enjoyed drinking this wine. Would definitely recommend.
