[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a wine and rum lover I was thrilled to try this wine aged in rum barrels. What a fun concept! I paired this with some nice cheeses and apples. Plum and blueberry notes were quite forward. The sweetness of the aftertaste was gorgeous. A lot of the spices stayed with me too which made this a very cozy drink.

Tastes of tart plum are the first flavors that my tongue recognized and the a sweetness from the coconut. I would definitely pair this with a tomato based pasta or a pesto sauce. Today I had it in a clean palate for first tastes! I wanted it raw just to get the true flavors.

It has a beautiful scent of blueberry and plum. The taste carries a hint of spiced blueberry and leaves a lasting note of vanilla, yum. I think this is a must-try because you will fall in love once you do.

A beautiful blood red appearance and satisfying taste perfect for sipping alone or on a girl’s night in watching movies. I love the way the taste change in such a subtle way when eating this wine with dark chocolate. Hints of the Rum were gone and you were left with a smooth Merlot taste. To the contrary when paired with brie and fig jam on water crackers, the taste comes through as a little bolder The finish on its own was an enjoyable blend of rum and Merlot wine, for a unique sipping experience.

This tastes very fresh and is grape forward with a smoky vanilla finish that lasts as a bit of an aftertaste. The aroma from the bottle and in the glass has hints of caramel and vanilla. This is an enjoyable Merlot that is smoother and easier to drink thanks to the barrel aging.

Some who tried it felt that it could have been more balanced, but overall everyone still liked it, and we found that it paired nicely with chocolates!

I paired it with grilled ribs and dark chocolate on separate occasions. It has a blood red appearance and the aromas of vanilla, plum and coconut. It is crisp, not overpowering and I could taste the rum floating on my palate. A complex taste with spicy finish.
