I have never had an adjustable base but always wanted one for reading. I fractured my shoulder so it was time to get one as I could not lay flat in bed. I opted for this « cheaper version » that was on sale for $325 (Serta). I have zero complaints! This thing is great!! I bought the cheaper version thinking if I didn't like it I would sell it after my shoulder healed. Now I realize what a bargain I found! It is so comfy. It's very quiet and glides very smoothly, up and down. Definitely worth the money.

Overall I do really like this. The head/feet can be independently operated or operated in unison. I like to be partially inclined when I sleep and this helped a lot (back injury). I was surprised how much range of motion it has! The build quality is very good, but I had the two middle legs pull the nutserts out of the frame (I replaced these with regular nuts/washers) and the directions were actually not correct, but the quick start guide was. Fedex wasn't very gentle with it, and one of the shipping brackets pulled off (this wasn't used as it lays flat, so not a big deal). I would definitely buy it again. I did not contact Sam's about the issues I had, as I am capable of fixing those without a second thought, BUT just be aware - this is heavy and you may need to do the same with the legs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this to go with the new memory foam mattress that I just got. First off let me say that I was very thankful that everything was color coded. This made it so much easier to put together. I was also very impressed with how quiet it is when you adjust the head of the bed. It seems quite sturdy which is a good thing when my 100 plus pound dog come running at full speed to jump on the bed.

The queen is 100 pounds so be prepared to deal with a large clumsy unit to assemble. It's best to have two people put it together however I did it myself at 80. To ease in sliding the bed in the future for cleaning etc, I installed sliders under each leg. The base height is adjustable with 3 inch long sections for each leg that screw into each other to lengthen or shorten the legs. No head-board hardware is included and is an expensive add on. The assembly is a little confusing because the pictures are very small for the area where motor linkage is installed to the frame but color coded dots help sort that out. The reason for two people to assemble the base is to keep from damaging the frame where the legs screw into it. To get around that I installed the legs on one side only, then flipped the frame over to rest on a foot stool high enough to then screw the remaining legs into the frame. The queen will fit in a medium sized SUV like our 2019 Mazda CX5 at an angle with rear seats down and passenger seat forward enough to fit the box, rear hatch will close. I would buy this base again.

metal went right through material when we setup manufacturing issue and was gonna send replacement however I am still waiting on courier service to pick up. With seeing the reviews and my own experience I don't want replacement furniture either. Courier service a no show on scheduled pickup and still waiting

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been wanting one of these for awhile now. The bed adjusts up and down a lot. I love being able to sleep with my feet slightly elevated. Nights when I have heartburn I just raise the back some. Now that I can get comfortable I sleep so much better! If you have a tv in your bedroom get ready for comfort while watching! On a side not the bed is on the heavy side. You'll probably want two people to lift it and assemble it. Assembly is pretty easy , but the weight makes it a bit tricky.

Works great with our Winkbed mattress.
