I don't understand the high praise rating for this sauce it has the worst flavor we have ever tried, very bland and does not smell fresh. The delivery packaging was terrible barely protected jars there were 2 broke wasn't worth the time to try to replace.

High cost for terrible flavor

The sodium wasnt as low as i believed it would be. The is acceptable not fantastic.

Surprised the sauce taste was very good. Purchased due to change in eating habits and liked it.  This is second time I bought it and will buy again.

Threw it away after trying a couple spoonfuls. Just not tasty. Will stick with Rao’s!!! Much much better!!

Amazing Flavor! I am, or should I say, WAS a die-hard Rao's fan but this seems less oily. It is great!!!!!

Let me start by saying I had high hopes for this sauce. It smelled amazing when I unpackaged it. I love the ingredient list as well. Very simple, clean, organic. Also, I never use a jarred sauce as is, I always spice it up a bit and fully anticipated needing to do that with this sauce too. 

So, I sautéed my onions and garlic, browned some ground beef, and cracked open the bottle of Yo Mama’s sauce. I took a big sniff of the bottle, and… nothing. I got no smell other than tomatoes. And not juicy, fresh from the vine tomato, more middle of winter, barely flavored tomato. I took my spoon and tasted the sauce direct from the jar, and again, all I got was the barest hint of tomato and a whole lot of acid. 

I added it to the beef anyway and dug in to my spice drawer. I added all my standby’s and still, it never quite raised it to the level I was hoping. I considered adding some tomato paste, but I didn’t want to drive up the acid any more - I already added some shredded carrots to provide title sweet to foil the acidity of the sauce. 

In the end, I decided to use the sauce in a “French Bread Lasagna”. Sliced a French bread loaf, topped it with some sauce, added some cheese, and baked it off. It was good, but not great. Sadly, I don’t think I will be purchasing this sauce in the future.

This is the best low salt pasta sauce ever!  And the price is so much lower than amazon, which sells 12 oz jars and these are 24 oz.  I had given up on pasta sauce because the salt intake would be double your daily allowance.  Hmmm, I better buy some more right now!
