Tasteless & Disappointing

I like yellow rice so I decided to buy some at Sam's club. This was the only option they had at my club. I gave it a shot last night and was disappointed in the end. I usually get Goya yellow rice, and it tastes perfect. However, comparing the two, this brand has more sodium, yet much less taste. There is very little flavor, and it tastes very bland. What throws me off is that you can see dried seasoning through the packaging, and it claims to contain saffron, which I didn't even taste. The texture was off also, but that could have been my fault. Overall, I will definitely be returning this item and never buying it again.

Try this, it's really good

Tried this on a whim when all the white rice was gone, and was blown away. This is really good. I make it in my rice cooker exactly like I'd be making white rice, and it comes out really tasty and very fluffy. It doesn't stick together like white rice tends to do. I tried it with some Shrimp Creole, and I believe using yellow rice actually enhanced the taste.

Good rice but VERY Salty

Saw this rice and thought it would be good for paella or Spanish rice. Glad I tried a small amount first. I liked the flavor, but Very Salty. After I cooked it I rinsed some of it off. Not as salty then. I will try it again and sift the dry seasoning off and then and a little after its cooked.

So quicky and easy

We used this for my daughters wedding, it was so easy. I poured the contents of the container into a large foil pan, then added the 5 quarts of water and a stick of butter. (I think you're supposed to add more butter than that, but that's all I had on hand) Then I stirred it all around and covered it with foil. About an hour later when we were ready to go to the venue, the rice had absorbed all the water. We put the pans in the warmer and it was perfect when we were ready to serve the rice, it was so easy. We served about 150 people and used 3 containers of rice.

Very bland and boring. I even tried using it as fried rice. No one in the house liked it.
