225/60H x 18 - Premier LTX worn out 17,000 miles

On 9/10/2018 I replaced the factory provided tires on my 2015 CRV Touring. Factory tires had 37,064 on them. I read all the great reviews and paid up for quality so I thought. I have 54,000 on my car roughly garaged car. Tread @ 5/32 regular rotation by Honda dealerships. Any tire should get you between 35,000-40,000 miles. Quality is “unacceptable” on the Premier LTX and Michelin should be taking any negative reviews very seriously because these tires are on a lot of SUVs.

2022 Highlander XLE

Michelin Premier LTX came preinstalled on 2022 Toyota Highlander XLE. After 15000 miles, the tires are already less than half the tread life and was recommended by Toyota to have them replaced. Barely getting half the total tread life is not something I would want from a tire manufacturer.

2022Highlander, we're sorry that you are disappointed in the mileage received thus far. If the tires are half way worn, there is considerable tread remaining. A representative will be in touch to discuss this further with you.

60k tires didnt last

Michelin Premier LTX tires came on my 2020 Toyota Highlander when I purchased the vehicle brand new in Feb 2020. I was happy when I saw the vehicle came with Michelin tires....I am very careful with maintenance and rotating balancing and alignment on my tires. It is now Sept 2022 and 26,000 miles later. I need to purchase new set of tires already.... Tire wear is even on all 4 tires. Always thought Michelins to be a better tire. After a little research, I am wondering if the problem is with the Premier LTX... I have purchased another set of Michelin. This time I am trying the cross climate and hoping to have a better experience....It definately was an expensive purchase...But I am willing to give Michelin one last try. Hope I dont regret it.....

Good Tire but not up to Michelin Standard

I have driven over 10,000 miles in ice, snow, rain and heat. These tires perform well in snow or ice and exceptionally well in rain. The issue is the tires try to follow the grooves in the road. That is unsettling when driving on ice or just annoying on dry pavement. It is controllable but the driver does need to be aware what is happening. I expect better from Michelin. If you live in an area where the roads do not have grooves cut to control ice in the winter you will love these tires. Otherwise, choose a different tire.

Great Traction, Short Life

I am an older female from the SF Bay Area. I drive a lot of miles alone visiting family in western states of NV, Utah and AZ. Safety is important to me and I was especially interested in the wear performance of these tires - that they would continue to protect me as the tread wore down. I drove in heavy rain with an inch of water on the road and felt absoluetly planted on the surface - like I was driving on dry ground. However, after 1 year and 28,000 miles I am down to the wear marks. The tires did not last. They still grip the road though like new - last week I drove through rain, snow and hail and the tires felt very secure.

Nice tires, but worn out ~30K miles in

I loved this tire when it was new. But I didn't get 3 full winters out of it despite driving less than 10K miles a year. Mazda CX9 AWD, driven gently, alignment and tie rods done around the time they were installed, and rotated several times. These were the top rated 3-4 years ago, now I'm looking for something better, or if it can't be better, maybe not as expensive. Ugh!

It is Like I have a New, Smoother, Quieter SUV

I have a Lexus RX 450h AWD, which used to have Goodyear Assurance TripleTred tires on it. They provided great wet traction, but at the cost of ride and noise. I just installed Michelin Premier LTX 235/55R19s and the change is amazing. Now the only noise I hear is the wind noise - no road noise at all. The ride has upgraded to the smoothness of a luxury sedan - it really feels like a different, better car. Right out of the shop I got to drive home in a rainstorm, and I do not think I have given up anything in wet traction, and the road feel is still solid. I cannot speak to snow/ice performance, but my conclusion right now is - Buy these!

Poor treadwear, bad snow traction

After 15,000 miles, the treadwear is down to 4/32" to 5/32". The tires won't last past 20,000 or 25,000 miles. Not even close to the stated 60,000 mile warranty. Traction in light snow is very slippery. General tire performance in daily driving for suburban areas of city and highway is fine but treadwear is horrible.

Nowhere near 60k miles

I bought these Premier LTX 265/60R18 tires with 52k miles on my F150, 23k mikes later and I am having to get new tires due the tread being chewed up and signs of dry rot....after 23k miles these tires have to be replaced. I highly doubt I will ever buy Michelin again. Premier price, substandard performance.

Life of tires poor

Purchased 4 of these tires on 5-12-16 for our 2012 Acura MDX. Today 8-19-17 (a little over 15 months and 22k miles driven) we were told tread is worn down to a level that should anticipate needing to replace in next few months. Extremely dissatisfied with life of these tires.
