Works well....Terrible treadlife

I like the way the tire handles, rides and quietness HOWEVER, the tread-life isn't even close to what is advertised. Michelin charges for a premium tire but it wears like a low end tire. Plan on getting about 30,000 miles out of this tire. I had these 285/45R22 tires on a 2016 Yukon and got about 30,000 miles out of them till I was on the wear bars. This was a mix of country road and highway driving.

Great tire for the right car and driver

I have a 2010 Nissan Murano LE - No contest the best tire for this car. Traction, smoothness, noise. I realize this are an expensive set and so longevity is a factor for most. I was a store manager for a very large tire chain company. Unfortunately a great tire is not a great tire for every model car. Some cars will wear tires faster than other cars, and some tires will last less on certain cars. Longevity not being a factor that can be measured equally on all cars- this tire is exceptional for handling and smoothness. Keep in mind that it is a V rated tire, made for a high performance vehicle and suspension. Some SUV's and Trucks will not have such a suspension and will wear the tire. This is a soft rubber tire made for grip, hard side walls made for handling. Concerning my car, I am very happy, no contest really. Make use of Walmart's lifetime balance, and rotate your tires about every 5000 miles if mostly highway driving, if city driving, about every 3000 miles. Again, soft rubber, great traction, be gentle on the gas, but if you want performance, it is there for you too! Great M

Poor tread wear

Tires were purchased on recommendation and seemed to initially have good reviews. Tires performed fine when new. Tires have worn to < 2/32 within 32k miles with scheduled rotations and proper maintenance. Very disappointed in life of tires when Michelin claims to be a 60k tire. Too expensive to replace half way through the expected tire life.

Wearing out so fast

After about 30000 miles they were wear out already …… very comfortable and quiet tires, lot of grips on dry surface, did pretty good job on wet surface too. Not bad on the snow. My car is 1gen MB ML and I drove it gently all the time. When you have this particular type of model, your tires Choices are very limited. If you don't mind change your tires every 30,000 miles, this is far the best! I can't give it 5 stars based on how fast they ware out. Hope Michelin read our reviews and make their customers happy

Terrible tire wear

New tires on our Lexus 450H. Only 41,000 miles and the dearler says we need new tires before winter. I would expect these to have decent wear at 60-70,000 mile# before replacement. Very disappointed. The ride, braking, and driving in the rain is good. Just poor wear.

Poor tread life.

2017 GMC Acadia Denali equipped with Premier LTX 235 55 20. There tires have been ok for a 3 season tire. Poor snow performance in Michigan from new. First time I've gotten stuck in my entire driving "career". Very poor tread life. Down to 3/32 at 38000 miles. Rotated at each oil change @ aprox. 5000 miles.

Great tires , but short life

I loved these tires, but only got 44000KM on them. Michelin was great about the warrantee. One phone call and they reimbursed me immediately for an amount I was very impressed with. They also acknowledged they had some problems and that the newer Premiers would go the distance. I had already bought 4 more Premiers because I loved the ride, and the handling and braking with them. And if for some reason I dont get the mileage I should, I know that Michelin will stand behind their tires. In all the years I have driven on Michelins I have never had a problem except for this one. I have the XI3 winter tires on my Escape , 7 winters on them and they are still like new.

I love Michelin, but...

The tires perform well in summer, not so much in winter snow. What brought me here is to read if others have the same issue as me. And yes indeed, the thread wear on this tire does not meet the documented KM rating. At 20,000KM from the rating, I need new tires and have pushed as far as I can go on these. First snowfall and if it wasn't for 4X4, I don't think I would get out of my street in the snow with what I have left for thread.

Road Noise and Tread Growl

Tried to save money and purchased a highly rated tire from another company. $100 less per tire. Road noise was horrible, even though reviews noted how incredibly quiet these tires are. Returned them and had Premier LTX tires put on car. My research indicated these were very quiet tires, and hey, they were Michelins so what could go wrong! Boy, I was mistaken. The Michelins at $100 more per tire are incredibly noisy. Indeed, no better than the first tires, and I'm out a considerable amount of money. Very disappointed.

TERRIBLE!

I purchased the Premier LTX tires for my vehicle. 60,000 mile tire? Not a chance. I got only 30,000 before they were completely bald. All highway miles. TERRIBLE. And trying to get my local tire shop to even get replacements in have been terrible. I have been waiting a month. Now I'm being told I have to pay for half the price of getting the same tires back on my car. That is not a warranty. Will never purchase Michelan tires again.
