NOT an all terrain tire.

This tire is by no means an all terrain tire. It is little more than an aggressive highway tire. It came on a truck I bought; otherwise I would have never bought this for occasional off-roading. Also the shoulder lugs have a step that runs around each side of the tire that traps dirt, mud, and water in the middle. And when the tire is 50% worn it will be slick. This is a very poor design for an all terrain tire.

Less than half of the treadwear life!

Purchased these to replace the OEM Bridgestones that were installed on my Nissan Murano. The treadwear on these were rated at 90,000km but I now have to replace these with less than 45,000km on them! It's not like one of the tires wore more quickly, it's all 4 which means that I rotated them and had them at the same pressure the whole time. Good thing the garage when I bought them from and have had them serviced since new, knew my service history and will cover the pro-rated warranty with no questions asked! Besides the wear issue, these tires, when they had tread, worked great! They are quiet, and I had nothing but confidence when I was behind the wheel in all weather conditions, (with the exception of winter, I have another set for winter driving).

longest lasting tires I have ever had

I put these tires on my pickup when I bought it new in 2002 it has 74000 miles and I can start to see the tires will need to be replaced soon. I have never even had a flat tire and about 30 % of my driving was off road. I have never has a set of tires last this long in my life.

SMOOTH!!!!!!!

My 2012 Ford F-350 came with the Michelin LTX/2 's from the factory and these are the smoothest riding and best looking tires that I have ever had on a pickup. The ride and handling is great. Practically no road noise. I will go right back with the LTX/2 when the time comes. Love me some Michelin tires!

Great Tires

Installed on my '06 Xterra. I have about 10k miles on these tires and I'm extremely pleased with them. They're very quiet for an A/T tire, handle nicely, and have great grip. While these tires don't have a very aggressive tread for an A/T tire, I find them perfectly suited as an all season tire with occasional off road use when I need it. Additionally, I've had one season in the snow with them - no complaints. These cost a little bit more when compared to other similar tires, but I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Not a strong tier

My tier bacame scuffled on the side from backing out of a parking space and rubbing against the curb and the air leaked out from the side and went flat. I would expect that a explorer made for a off road type usage would put strong tiers in their cars. Happened two times. Not happy!

Excellent performance

I have just bought a new set of 245/65r17 ltx 2 Michelins for my 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer. They replace the exact same purchased in 2007 that now have over 80,000 mi. I've had them rotated but never had the need to have them rebalanced. They have all worn equally.

LTX/MS2 Tires - disappointed

I bought a set of these for my SUV in the fall of 2014. They were good until they got 40,000 miles on them. Since then, the tire noise between 35-50 mph is quite loud. I thought I had a bad wheel bearing or drivetrain issue. An ASE mechanic checked it, along with the alignment, it was fine and said it's the tires. He showed me the irregular wear on the outside edges. You can feel the outer edges starting to protrude. I rotate the tires every other oil change and had 108,000 miles on my prior set of Michelin's with no issues.I noticed Michelin has a new technology - EverGrip. After reading about it, maybe this is causing the condition?

Great Tires! 2nd Pair and well worth it!

I had my 1st set of ATX AT/2 265R75-16E installed in 2016 on my Chevy Silverado 2500HD Duramax before leaving for Alaska for a 3 month trip. I towed a 5th wheel, loaded at 14,000 lbs, to and back from Alaska, then tow it all over the United States. this original set went 66,000 miles with a little tread still on them. They are quiet at highway speeds, got me everywhere off-road I wanted to go, and are awesome on snow in my northern Michigan winters. Just replaced them with an identical new set yesterday, 7-27-2021. Am looking forward to another 5 years and 60,000+ miles with these tires.

Not suitable for SNOW!

Do not buy these tires for use in snow! I love Michelin tires, they are by far my favorite tire manufacturer. But calling these tires M/S for mud and snow is very misleading. I have less than 2000 miles on these tires and live in mid Michigan. We've just had a significant snow fall and these tires are horrible. I've had to add 400lbs. to the back of my truck, and even that didn't make a noticeable difference. Thankfully I have a 4X4.
