Not Severe Snow rated

I was ready to pull the trigger on a set of these LTX at2 but noticed they're not rated for severe snow. Curious why. They look like they have plenty of siping. May have to switch to BFG A/T, but didn't want the noise. Wife likes her Defenders, but these look better for trails.

Excellent service life, quiet and serviceable.

I had a set of these on my Ford F350 for 70,000 miles. Probably 30,000 miles pulling a fifth wheel trailer, loading the rear axle close to the maximum weight. These tires were smooth, quiet and reliable. They were 10ply tires on a 1 ton 4WD truck, so I can’t say they were a delight to drive on, but as smooth as the LTX A/S I put on the truck next. The tires kept their balance between rotations. Had one flat tire the whole time we owned them. They performed fine in the mud and snow we had them in. They pulled us and the trailer out of a dirt road campground on the north rim of the GC, when all others were stuck and barely out of their campgrounds. I will buy them again.

Terrible tires

These tires are standard on the 2018 Ford Escape Titanium and after my last oil change, the dealer said that I have 4mm tread left and tires will need to be replaced very shortly with only 33,000 km on the odometer. This is mainly highway driving and very little winter driving and very little gravel roads. Not impressed with having a tire bill coming up so fast. Michelin needs to stand behind there warranties and cover the cost of the replacements.

Tries that will take you anywhere

The best shoes for my SUV, on or off the road. These tires love rocks, dirt, and of course mud. Can go right back to paved streets and work great there too, leaving the muddy trail. When it is raining the water is just moved out of my way, and throw on the car behind me. I have noticed that if someone follows to close, their windshield wipers are going very fast. Not to mention how great they look on the SUV, very sporty. My SUV thanks you for making a great tire.

how long can a good thing last

we have a everyday driver its a 97 gmc sierra extended cab pickup. our first set of Michelins lasted 6 years and had some 60000 miles plus on them. we are very happy with the performance of the Michelin tire and purchased a second set for our pickup. we never had a flat or any other problems. we choose Michelin due to the high quality of the tire and trouble free miles. our experience with other tires is that they wear out below the advertised mileage. we also recommend Michelin to our children when they need new tires, we feel they are that safe to do so.

1 Ton dually

These are excellent for our 1 ton 4x4 dually. This truck usually has a trailer behind it pulling 8500-15000 lbs and the last two sets of these have had around 60000 miles on them before we replaced. I only rotate them every 10000 miles also. They work great in Ohio's snow and don't do too bad in mud either. They don't have much road noise and make a huge difference in ride. We will take truck usually before my wife's car on longer trips.

Expected More

Replaced a set of 4 Michellin Lattitude Tour HP after only 42,750 miles. Got down to 3/32 on all after 2 years and 6 months of owning them. Was hoping to get closer to 50,000 since they are rated for 55,000 miles. I also noticed my fuel economy had gone down a bit when I switched to these. If I could say something positive about these tires is that they are quiet and the ride was smooth.

Best tire I’ve ever owned

I am on my third set. The first two were on a 1/2 ton truck that saw occasional off road use. These tires dig like crazy in the mud, they have excellent wet traction and stick like glue on dry pavement. The previous set lasted to 111,000 miles with rotation and balance every 10k. This was on a set of “E” load range that has a trailer of some sort behind them at least a few times a week. My current set is on a 3/4 ton and with 70,000 +, they still have a lot of life left. You won’t find a more comfortable and quiet tire.

Best tires on th market

Put 85,000 mi on a set of 265/70R17 LTX AT2's and still had an average of 7/32nds left on them. Couldn't ask for a better tire for wear. My 3/4 ton Dodge has 185,000 miles on it and I'm on my 3rd set of Michelins. And they aren't even half worn. Thank you Michelin.

One of the best riding ...

One of the best riding all terain tires i've ever had. They ride real quiet and real smooth. I will reccomend them to anybody and I' sure I will have another set. I only have about 20,000 miles on them and you can't even tell any wear on them yet. I surely like them.
