Very hard dough used. I never bought the smaller cookies, only the larger ones. The larger ones have soft dough, which I prefer. We had to question whether they were fresh.

Don't buy these if you want to eat healthy, lose weight, or limit your sugar because once you eat one, you won't be able to stop. These are delicious.

They were a little hard at first but once had been in the cookie jar with a sealed lid for a day or two they softened up a bit. They were that fine line between crunchy and chewy. Basically, they are a great solid cookie. Just the right size, not overly sugary, and a great dipping cookie. Grandkids love them.

Tough and crunchy indeed. These looked so good and actually had a good flavor and lots of chips and chocolate, BUT I've never had a cookie like this that was so tough, dry, and crunchy. They didn't look overbaked, but so tough. Never had before to realize some said new recipe is so dry and no longer soft and chewy. Should have read more recent reviews. Love this type of cookie, but not this version.
