I upgrade my old 8channel 1080p to the 4K... The quality is just like they stated! Vivid & much better, the field of view is wider also. Only negative is thde DVR doesnt have audio in like my old one; I only had one audio camera anyway. So, it was a good trade.

Video quality is great, very easy to set up, simple but useful interface. The motion detection is a little sensitive, even on 'low' setting, it will pick up folks across the street in their garage. Depending where you live, that could be a good thing. I would definitely buy this exact setup again

Installation was super easy since I was upgrading from an older night owl system and used the same wires. DVR interface is really nice. I don't really care for the mobile app. It takes too many steps to get to the live view. Record sensitivity isn't as accurate as my old system did which is disappointing but overall it is satisfactory.

Easy set up/install

Bought these to replace old system that was beginning to fail. I was able to use existing wiring which made for an easy install. Cameras were easily adjustable and provided a much clearer picture then the old cameras. The wide angle lenses almost doubled my previous viewing area. Setup of DVR and connecting to the internet for online viewing was simple and easy. It has only been couple weeks since I installed them, but so far, so good. Now I just have to figure out how to save/download clips.

I bought this item/kit, and the first one was DOA (no output signal yo the TV), the replacement one DID come fairly quickly but I was getting a weak output signal from it too as the TV would flash off and on, Customer Experience This booking page is currently unavailable. If you are the owner of this account, you can log in to find out more. but I used another hdmi cable and it seems OK for now. Overall, I like the pictures and the camera coverage. If it wasn't for the first dvr being faulty, I would have given it 5 stars.

Camera system is great app is unusable

We have owned the night our security system for several years, we are on our third system. The last system that finally wore out this week we purchased in 2017 and utilized The night owl HD app. I utilize an old tablet as a monitor in my work area so that I can see when I have deliveries. The tablet is mounted and displayed my four primary cameras throughout the day uninterrupted. It is too far from the system itself to use a cable to have the normal monitoring. This app is absolutely useless for a constant monitoring. It shuts down right at the most inapt time and then takes forever going through all the steps to get it back up and running again. Basically this app is made my system useless for my every day use and is making me reconsider night owls system.

Video was jerky, mobile app was very touchy and very difficult to review footage, made it nearly useless for me to use remotely. No events were recorded when there was activity in the yard. One of the camera positions had wierd colors and made deck look green, red, and some purple. Will be returning it as soon as I get it packed up. I was hoping for the best but am quite dissappointed.
