Good product with one concern

It's a quality product and my daugher loves it. I put a hanging disk swing inside and that's a hit. I watched the youtube video provided by Lifetime to assist with assembly. The hand holds do not fit exactly perfectly no matter what order you put the metal poles together so my only concern is over time the plastic handholds will get loose or even break altogether.

Recommend for ages 5 on up. My 3 year old is very motor skill smart but it’s just too large for him and so he doesn’t get the enjoyment out 5 year old and his friends up through 8/9 even get. Took 2 people at times to put it together and between 3-5 hours. Very happy with it.

No surprises

The product came as it was described with the normal amount of shipping damage on the box but everything inside was protected. Putting this together took me about two hours doing it alone. If you do have a second person it is suggested especially when it comes to assembling the sections into the final Dome. However if you do not just make sure to have some four or five foot two by fours to help you prop up the parts while you assemble them. After you get a couple sections together and connect those sections it seems to hold itself up without much issue and a lot of your time will go towards stacking the bars in the proper order. The kids love it too and it is sturdy enough to hold an adult but I wouldn't jump up and down on it. I will try to update this after some time passes to let everyone know how it handles with the weather. I live in Kansas so I don't have a whole lot of salt to deal with but it will be sitting in an area that is exposed to consistent moisture from shade in the area. I think this product is currently worth its money and the children will definitely enjoy it.

Great buy!

First of all it was a very good buy for us, our grandsons ages 5 and 3 absolutely love it! A little advice is to be sure and watch the video for building instruction. The paper instructions will only confuse you...or it did me. In the end it was well worth it!

Finally put it up!

I ordered this around Christmas and my husband finally got it set up 5 months later! It took him less than 2 hours to set this up alone. My kids ages 10 and 12 love this.. and my husband too lol. The box was very heavy to move. My husband used the instruction manual to set it up with no issues and never took my advice to watch the instruction video on YouTube, which I felt was more useful. I added a disc swing to the center of the dome but will readjust to get rid of the excess rope.

Second time dome climber purchase

Second dome climber for our family. I built both of them by my 5-foot-3 buck-25 self. Set aside a couple hours, watch the YouTube tutorial, read the instructions. You will be satisfied with this climber. Worth every penny. We have a parachute that we put over the top to turn it into a shady fort on sunny days. Brightens up the backyard a ton.

Never Received. Customer service could have been better

We ordered both the Big Stuff Swing Set and Climbing Dome together. Both were shipped together and both were confirmed as delivered together but in reality only the swing set arrived. I called Lifetime and was on hold for thirty minutes before connecting with a human. The rep I spoke with recommended I call the freight company directly as she would have to “jump through a lot of hoops” and it would take some time. I called the freight company directly and they confirmed our delivery came up short per their manifest. They said they would try to track it down across the three different hubs it passed through on its way to us. All told it took about an hour on the phone with two different companies. Who wants to do that? The following day Lifetime called and confirmed the dome had gone missing. They offered to resend it but it would take over a month in a best case scenario as it’s back ordered. I requested they cancel the order and credit us the funds, which I was told would take several weeks. I get wait times are long nowadays and things get lost but I was so disappointed that no apology or regret was conveyed. Maybe I expected better customer service ordering from an American company but a simple “we’re really sorry this happened” would have gone a long way.

Quality and Strength

I have owned the climbing dome since 2017 and it is still very sturdy and my two boys really enjoy it (6 & 10 years). I reached out to Lifetime recently as some of the hardware (bolts, washers, etc.) were corroded, or in the process of rusting and deteriorating. Customer Support swiftly resolved that issue by sending a full set of hardware. I would recommend applying an anticorrosive on the hardware prior to assembling to avoid having to struggle to remove them later, especially if you move as often as my family does.

Not for a four year old!

This is a well made dome climber. However, the bars are spaced FAR apart and not ideal for a four year old. Maybe for 6 years and up. My four year old grandson couldn’t get his leg up to climb the dome. Wish the bars were closed together but guess he will have to grow into it. I’d recommend for kids 6 and up. Not younger.

Be patient with assembly

Each joint must be arranged in a specific order. We ended up having some trial and error, but once we figured out the pattern it was pretty simple. Watching the video helped, but there weren't close ups of each joint and how the bars are stacked. It took us under 3 hours, even with having to rearrange some joints and a snack break. One bar came scraped, so the missing paint section may rust but I will be reaching out to Lifetime about that. It didn't interfere with assembly or play. My kids absolutely love playing on it. We bought a small disc swing for the middle and that has added a lot of fun to it. 5 stars overall, but if we hadn't figured out some of the stacking on our own I would have definitely knocked it down.
