Although the workings and materials to this product are top notch...the whole reason I ordered this is due to the supposed red metallic color. I searched through tons looking for the exact red. Although this is listed as red, it absolutely is not red, it is more like a deep copper. Would have brought it back but nearest location is two states away and wouldn’t be worth shipping back since already charged once for that and extra no membership charge. Would have loved if it was color advertised.

Love this garbage can. It holds up well and keeps odors trapped inside. This replaced my old one after a few years only because my kids scratched it up on top. Holds up well and very durable. Also Sams club I wish you still sold the small versions for the bathroom. These are the best I have found so far!

Press with care This was the exact make and model of the one we replaced. Love that you don't need your hands to open the lid while cooking. The old one lasted a few years before the foot lever broke. Unfortunately, it's made of plastic and if stepped on too hard too many times, it wears the pivot point on the inside and breaks rendering the pedal useless.

We've had this trashcan for 3 months. Never letting the trash to get so full, causing it to touch the top of the lid. However, the inside of the lid is already starting to rust. Making it look gross. To combat this I've taken some shelf lining sticky paper and put it on the top of the inside of the lid. Looks better than the rust. Not what I'd expect for the price.

it worked well for about two years then the pedal broke. the plastic pedal mechanism will fail sooner or later. you cannot fix the plastic lever when it breaks. i tried. to use the trash can you have to lift the lid by hand. the stainless steel is low quality and will rust over time. it is not worth the price in my opinion.

I loved this garbage can until I didn't. Stopped working several months after purchase. I thought it was a great can... so I foolishly tried again. The next can also broke in the same area. It is cheap plastic that is used in the foot push to the metal bars that lift the can lid. The plastic wore down and broke on two cans after a few months of use. I might be wrong, but I expected it to last at least 5 years. LOL truthfully, I wanted it to last forever.

We have used this bin in our kitchen for a year. It’s build quality and durability are both great but we are getting rid of it due to a massive design issue. The hinge is outside and sticks out from the bin. The lid sticks out behind that even further when it goes up. This means that you cannot have the bin against the wall. If you do it will not open without scraping and scuffing your wall. It’s so unfortunate that they didn’t do a design with the hinge inside. If you don’t need the bin to be within three inches of a wall you are good, but if you have it anywhere that it will be close to a wall be prepared to see wall damage.

This is a great looking can and I loved it but after a few months it broke. The regular use of the the pedal broke the plastic piece that it is attached to and the lid could no longer be opened by it. Also, not repairable. We tried to use a plastic bonding material but that too broke loose after a few days. Now I have to buy another can. Not happy.

I love this trash can. It keeps the dog out as in he can't lift the lid with his nose anymore like he could do on our old trash can, is easy to open and close hands-free, does not promote smell or odor, seals completely, and is easy to clean on the inside and outside. The liner fits very well and is snug inside the container. A great value, too.

It looks like someone had used the trashcan before. It had no plastic to take off as indicated in the directions. There was also some grime on it. Also, the box did not arrive in the greatest shape. Lastly, there was no paperwork in the box. It's disappointing that Sam's is not monitoring returned items.
