I haven’t bought a new trash can in several years but I really like this one. Easy to empty and doesn’t tear a hole in the bag as you take it out. I love having the can inside the can. Great product.

I really like the trash can, however, I purchased this because it was “red” and it’s not really red, more of a rusty, orange tinted red. I kept it because I like the receptacle, but am disappointed in the color. Hince the 4 stars.

I don't really care for this trash can. The lid only stays open when the foot pedal is pressed (no way for it to stay open on its own). This makes it difficult when changing the bag, because when the foot pedal is depressed, it takes a lot of finagling to properly get the inner can into the bin. Also, the inside of the lid is rusting, which is... odd. I honestly wish I hadn't bought it, but I'd thrown the box away as soon as I unpacked it because I really didn't think I'd be returning a trash can. Eventually I'll tire of it and buy something else, but right now I'm not about to waste the over $50 I paid for it.

We love our new trash can. Great size. Nice shape and beautiful color. We have the red, it is more of an auburn but really pretty. I didn’t want another stainless steel color and the color options are nice to tie into your kitchen. 13 gallon bags fit well with no issues. Nice open and close. No issues so far.

Purchased two of these in charcoal color. Top inside lid is rusting around the lip. These cans were used in the kitchen under normal wear and tear. One is garbage. One is Recycle. Tried to return to Sam's Club in Riverview, FL where they were purchased, they stated that that they are not covered under the Sam's warranty listed on this product page which states: "Return this item for a full refund or replacement at anytime. Restrictions apply. Read the full policy." I contacted Tramontina but have not received a response yet. I do not recommend this product.

Very disappointed in the performance of this rather pricy trash can. The foot step opener broke with only gentle use. I loved it until the hands free lever failed. I cannot see a broken part but heard a snap first on one side of the foot pedal and a week later on the other side.

I like the profile of this trash can, its fingerprint resistance, and the fact that it has a soft close lid. That said, the lone issue that I have with the can is that the soft close lid makes it a bit difficult to reposition the inner plaster liner when replacing the trash bag. I find that I have to play around with it a bit to get it properly seated since the internal mechanism slowly lowers in order to control the lid. That really is my only complaint, and I would definitely purchase this trash can again.

I have purchased three of these. The can is fantastic except the foot-pedal. The foot pedal is a large plastic part that extends from the front to the back of the trash can. It has a pivot point so that force from your foot pressing down the pedal lifts the back rods. The rods are metal and the remaining plastic pieces do not receive much force so are simply perfect. But, the bottom petal at the point were it pivots is where it breaks. No reinforcement of plastic is done around the pivot point. A recent review photo shows the breakage. Most negative reviews are also of this problem. Where the metal force resistance rod moves through the plastic is the point of pivot. The company really needs to add additional plastic reinforcement (a thick plastic doughnut or washer should work) or better yet a metal cage to hold the weight through the pivot. It is a great trash can, but I need to move on. Replacing 3 is 1 too many for me. I don't want to contribute that much to the landfill and the cash from my pocket. I wouldn't mind buying one every 10 years or so, but 3 in 5 years is simply too many.

Ordered the charcoal and it is a very nice color. Arrived very quick and in great condition and free shipping was a very nice bonus. Doesn't show spots/ fingerprints. I really like the soft close lid. Love that normal tall kitchen trash bags fit. Overall, for the price paid, it's a very nice trash can that fits very well in our kitchen.

This is the third Tramontina trash can that I have purchased for my household and that of two of my children. We have been very pleased with it and we have had ours for several years. It is easy opening with the step on pedal. Would recommend it strongly.
