The design is great. Easy to get the bag in and out, which is my biggest critique of most trash cans. The last can we had was some kind of engineering joke, basically a chinese fingertrap adapted to a trash can. This can is fantastic in comparison. There are two pitfalls I've seen in my 1 day of ownership: 1 - It scratches/scuffs easily and also shows fingerprints like nothing I've owned before. 2 - It is not properly packaged for shipping. I had to buy this twice - the first one showed up completely crushed and unrecognizable despite the outer box appearing undamaged. This is because the box has almost no reinforcements. Both cans showed up with significant scuff marks from movement within the packaging. If I were rating them on packaging... it would be bad. If I thought it would stay scuff free in our house, I'd return this one, too -- but, based on what it looked like after I tried to rub the scuff off with some stainless appliance cleaner and a very soft kitchen rag -- I'd say these are just very scratch/scuff prone. If scuffs, scratches, or fingerprints are going to be a thing that bothers you - I'd probably look at a different color or can.

This has a quiet shutting lid. Its fabulous. We have a four legged trash surfer and this trash can prevents her from getting into the trash.

Attractive and reliable stainless steel trashcans. They are a little pricey, but they last forever.
