I've had it about a month, have not yet had any problems with step opening or lid. It closes very slowly and smoothly but I've been gentle with it. Shape and charcoal color makes it look sharp and not an eyesore in my kitchen. Only thing is doesn't have enough space to fully fill 13 gallons, maybe like 12.

Scratches extremely easy. Daughter placed a empty box on top and it looks like someone drug steel wool across the top. It does open and closes nicely. It’s a pretty blue. Like the separate bin liner, don’t like that it doesn’t have a trash bag whole to tighten the bag in the liner.

I can not believe how excited I am about a trash can. I love, love, love the blue color. It is so pretty and is so much better to look at then my old stainless steel one. And the soft close is great, no more noisy slam. And I like that the can goes in so easy and I no longer need to tie off the bag to keep it in place. Just very happy with this trash can.

We have large dogs that can easily pick thru garbage that's not covered or under the the counter cabinet. They'd do this w/ out knocking over the can so we never knew if they'd eaten something that upset their stomachs until they were puking all over the place. This trash can works great. The tall kitchen bags fit perfectly & are easy to remove & put in a clean one. Some of the other cans were a pain because the bags constantly slipped down into the can. This doesn't happen with this can & you don't have to use any special hook or tie to keep it up around the rim. The bags fit snuggly so they hold in place. The price was more than I wanted to pay but if I had bought this one in the first place, I wouldn't have wasted my money on the half dozen cans that either broke, had lids that wouldn't go down or had bags that were constantly sliding down into the can & into the garbage. I just like a product that works without problems or breaking down.

I love that the bag goes into a removable liner inside the can which keeps it clean and odor free. The can is a great size- fits nicely in the kitchen without taking up a lot of space but holds a lot. Easy to keep fingerprint free due to the easy open foot pedal open feature.

I've been hesitant to buy a trash can like this because I wanted to make sure it could handle the entire trash bag. My mom has one that is circular and you pull out trash bag and it's only 3/4 full. This trash can is perfect, the trash was to the top with no waste.

Love this very sleek and attractive trash can. The metallic blue is so pretty. The volume is standard, the price is right, and the step opening with soft close is very handy. I have notjing bad to say except there was a tiny blemish in the lid, I used a marker to cover it and noone has mentioned it. I'd buy it again, and I wish I had bought two.

Ordered the Charcoal 13 Gal Trash Can. It looks great and works smoothly. The lid drops slowly and quietly. My only concern (not a complaint) is that the Charcoal actually looks Black to me. I realize there porbably isn't too much difference but I think they should designate it as Black. I tried to take a photo but it's so shiny all I get is a reflection of my kitchen so you can't really see the Black color. Overall I'm very satisfied with the construction and operation of the unit.

tough to get too excited but yeah, it’s that nice. wanted - good inner full plastic “can” - easy bag switching - consistent lid open/close - nice finished outside that stays nice… it’s perfect almost (lid could be a touch beefier, but fine line to not affect open close so no bigs)

They've changed the design/shape from the classic oval what I have for the past 10 years to this square one. Also it became shorter. And I don't like that at all! It was unique, now it's just one of the same trash bins from numerous manufacturers. In fact, you can buy same shape twice cheaper if you look online. I was in need of new trashbin after my old became damaged. And I received that boring and overpriced one.
