Well, I set out looking for something that would fit a garbage bag and hold garbage. Boy did it deliver! I can store all of my garbage in it until it is full, and then once I replace it starts all over again. The opening and closing of the lid is very smooth, and my dog can’t get it.

This is very sturdy and well-designed. The lid comes down slowly, and there is a removable hard plastic liner that the bag goes in. Much better made than the last couple trash cans I bought that supposedly had similar features, and at a very affordable price

The trashcan looks great. It's slightly smaller than some similar cans. The liner insert can be a bit finicky. The one thing I do not like is the top flings open at 100mph when you press the foot pedal. If the trashcan is close to the wall the lid flips opens slams the side of the wall.

They style design is such that when you step on the pedal the door slaps up rather fast and slaps the wall. If you pull it away from the wall, everytime you step on the pedal it walks back toward the wall. Also there is no lock to hold the door up for times with a cutting board etc when you may want to simply lock it open. Overall it’s ok for the price but not great.

I've had it about a month, have not yet had any problems with step opening or lid. It closes very slowly and smoothly but I've been gentle with it. Shape and charcoal color makes it look sharp and not an eyesore in my kitchen. Only thing is doesn't have enough space to fully fill 13 gallons, maybe like 12.

I selected the gold can and it is beautiful. As a matter of fact, I ended up ordering 4 of them. Why, you may ask? Because each and every one of them was scratched or dented! It was THE MOST UNBELIEVABLE experience! To Sam's credit and their customer service representative, May, I must say they were very responsive and did all they could to be helpful. I needed the can so I just gave up by he fourth attempt and kept the dented can. So, if you order this beauty, just know she may be flawed.

We have large dogs that can easily pick thru garbage that's not covered or under the the counter cabinet. They'd do this w/ out knocking over the can so we never knew if they'd eaten something that upset their stomachs until they were puking all over the place. This trash can works great. The tall kitchen bags fit perfectly & are easy to remove & put in a clean one. Some of the other cans were a pain because the bags constantly slipped down into the can. This doesn't happen with this can & you don't have to use any special hook or tie to keep it up around the rim. The bags fit snuggly so they hold in place. The price was more than I wanted to pay but if I had bought this one in the first place, I wouldn't have wasted my money on the half dozen cans that either broke, had lids that wouldn't go down or had bags that were constantly sliding down into the can & into the garbage. I just like a product that works without problems or breaking down.

My trash can came in this morning and I immediately opened it to use it. I did not inspect the trash can well enough from different angles/lighting because it has TWO dents in it. If the trash service wouldn't have passed this afternoon, I would be returning this trash can and ordering from somewhere else. It really sucks when you pay over $70 for a trash can and it comes in with dents. I'm so disappointed

We needed a can that would keep our cats from knocking it over. This one has fit the bill perfectly! So much so that we bought another for the recylcing when they decided to start knocking it over when we got the original can. We do have the red one and it's not a bright red but a little more on the orangey red side. Not a big deal for us.
