I usually use it for baking and cooking, but it is also easy to spread. I mainly bought this product to make the #makeityours cookies, and I was not disappointed with the quality. I tend to buy other brands that are marketed as being lactose free because I have issues with lactose, but this did not seem to affect me.

I had switched to real butter a few years ago but I grew up with the large tubs of country crock at my grandparents house. So the taste took me way back to my grandma's stir fry with plenty of country crock butter in it. The taste was better then I even remembered. The texture was so smooth and creamy so easy to spread. I have to say I can't remember why I stopped using country crock.
