My mom used to buy country crock when I was a kid and I always enjoyed it. As I grew older and more health conscious I steered away from butter substitutes because of all the ingredients that were included and opted for limited portions of actual butter instead. The new version of country crock is pretty great! The simpler ingredients list makes me more open to a butter substitute and the taste is still pretty good. It spreads easily and smoothly. I do find it to be a tiny bit tart and not as delicious as butter itself, but I don't think anything tastes as good as the real deal! *I received this complimentary item in exchange for an honest review

Country crock original actually melts quickly on toast and spreads easily on bread without tearing the bread which was a huge issue with cheap butter and other name brand butters. It has a good taste and doesn't taste very salty like more cheaper versions.

I put together a generic cookie recipe and added some goodies I had at home -- white chocolate chips, caramel bits, and semi sweet chocolate chips. I had my husband try a cookie before I told him what I used and he said they were good -- really good. I am now considering purchasing Country Crock instead of the normal butter spread we've been using!

It was very buttery and smooth. I really liked that it actually better than butter, plus you do get more for your money. I have since using my coupon repurchased. And with 5 boys in the house and no complaints I give that an A+++++++
