What a shame that the flavor was changed! It tastes absolutely horrible and I threw away my barely used container never to buy country crock again ... unless they bring back the old recipe. I am so sad that I have to find a new vegetable oil spread, but there is no way that I can eat the yucky taste of the "new recipe".

I have been using country crock for years...i bought the new recipe and its made all my food taste bad. I have actually switched to blue bonnet. Now my food tastes almost as good as it use to. Its not the same goodness but its a lot better then the new recipe. Please go back to the original recipe. And the square container takes up more room in my fridge then the circle one.

So I got the original Country Crock...and I love it! I've been using it for everything. I used it first to make chicken, and it was the best chicken I've ever made. I just put a spoonful in a pan, I sprinkled some Italian and Parmesan seasonings on it, and after it was warmed up I put the chicken in it and cooked it. I also use it on vegetables and I am planning on using it to make cookies. The possibilities are pretty much endless. I think I'm going to be buying this a lot more often, it might even replace butter.

I love the original county crock. This is what my parents would usually buy when I lived at home. Now I buy it for myself. I love that it is easy to spread because it probably gets used mostly on bread in my home. I also use it any other time I need it. I also like the new squared container.

However we have seen changes over the years, like reduced amount in the round tub, down a few ounces, and then a change of flavor (like burned popcorn butter) when the rectangular tub was introduced. We need to purchase another tub, and do hope the old standard flavor will return. You had something good, why was it necessary to change it?

Softer than the old original and definitely a different flavor. Spread on a sweet roll to heat and ended up with a soggy, wet roll. Of course, the first ingredient is now WATER, not vegetable oil. The 1star rating is high, deserves no star. Can't describe the flavor except it is bad. Thought I could use to cook with it to use up but ended up putting it in the trash. No more Country Crock for my family.

When I added country crock to my chocolate chips cookies, they came out soft and with a creamy flavor, I also used this as an ingredient with my cakes and my cakes were fluffy and their texture was soft, the flavor was delicious. This product is high quality and I will not go back to buying those cheap brand that don't make my foods and cakes taste the way country crock does. I like that there are varieties to choose from and that this is an affordable product that you can find at any store. I highly recommend this product.

I've used Original Country Crock for years, but the past two tubs I purchased had a maple syrup taste to it. My family won't eat it now and I don't much like it anymore either. We switched to Land-o-Lakes. Not sure if you changed the ingredients or not, but there is definitely something causing that maple taste.
