When I was asked to try a free sample I gladly accepted the offer. It is creamy and rich and always enhances the flavor of breakfast. I have yet to bake with country crock but I may expand to that I have a few recipes. I am also eager to try the new flavors but If I know myself I will like the original best. Don't let the "Original" in the name fool you. This new formulation introduced a few months ago simply tastes horrible. There's even a visible difference when cooking with it. The only positive experience was watching the kids' facial expressions after trying it for the first time. You would have thought they got a good whiff of some spoiled meat. The company doesn't have any plans on reverting back nor do I have any plans on buying it again. After a few decades of the best margarine out there, it's time to move on...

I used it in a cookie recipe and was not a fan of how they turned out or how they tasted. This is not something I'd go out and buy on my own.

If I could give the "New Simple Recipe" zero stars I would. It is absolutely disgusting. Why in the world would they change it except for maybe trying to pull a few extra cents profit out of each tub. I would gladly pay a few extra cents for the real "Original" Country Crock.... Now my butter money goes to Land O Lakes....

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a compensation/free product for my unbiased review. This product was extremely great. The taste was original but sweet. I used Country Crock to bake my original M&M recipe. There was a significant difference between my cookies with Country Crock and my cookies without it. It gave my cookies an additional great taste, resulting in my roommates eating them all in a day.

My entire family which includes four immediate households all have bought the new recipe. Without saying anything to each other, we were together Sunday and all commented on how we have to start using a different spread. We all hated it, that was eighteen of us. Then I mentioned it to a close friend and they changed to land o lakes. We used your product for a long time but we will not be buying it again. Sorry you made the change it wasn't for the better. Packaging was smart just should have left recipe alone.

I have been using country crock for many years until recently. I bought 2-3 tubs (which have since been thrown out) thinking it would get better and it didn't!! It made everything I used it on taste horrible. I have since tried numerous different brands of butter trying to get back the grest taste that country crock had before they changed to the new recipe. Very disappointed No longer a customer.
