[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Country crock always reminds me of my childhood - I grew up on this stuff - and happy to find out that all these years later it is still the same - smooth, great buttery taste. My favorite way to eat it is on pancakes or waffles! I received this item for free, but these are my honest opinions.

There has been a recipe change so the Country Crock Original has a noticeable change in taste from the 'original' that it was. I noticed the change around the same time they changed their containers from round to square. Wish it was that flavor again.

It's also really great for using in desserts, such as cookies! Me and my son have a favorite egg-free cookie recipe we make, using this exact butter and it is so good! The cookies come out a beautiful golden color, and they are rich and creamy. This is a butter we buy often, as it is not only affordable, but a family favorite!

I have been using this cooking for as long as I have been cooking ! Lately it makes my food stick to my non stick cook ware and leaves a plastic like substance on my food ! Scraped some out of the skillet tonight and rolled it into what looked like rubber balls ! Glued my grilled cheese sandwich to my skillet also ! Threw my skillet away thinking it was bad ! Unreal ! So disappointed !

Buttery spread is awesome because it stays fresh in the container it comes in and easy to spread on to breads and muffins.

The taste is so smooth and the spread, spreads very easily and doesn't put holes in the bread like regular butter does! I have been a strict butter user my entire adult life, so I was hesitant to use this. My kids and I used it to make cake mix cookies and they turned out fantastic! Very soft and yummy. I would consider buying this product again to use for baking.
