I received compensation/free product for my unbiased review. I have grown up with country crock basically my entire life. It has a nice rich taste, but not over bearing like most spreads. It's light and fluffy and has one of the best taste butter can have. It's like it was mixed by the heavens. Not only is it nostalgic, but it reminds you of a cold morning and your mother service fresh out of the toaster wheat bread and homemade jam with the spread of melted country crock. 5 stars

I have tried other brands that roll and don't stay on the bread or doesn't melt very well. This passed on both tests. The kids all gave it a thumbs up as they can spread it themselves without yelling for mom to do it. It has a nice light flavor that is just right.

New recipe tastes rancid and gross. Hate it. We have used nothing but Country Crock my whole life. I loved it and never dreamt of buying another product. After 2 tubs of the new recipe I still can't get over how bad it tastes. We are officially a real butter family now.

I generally use an uncomfortably expensive vegan all-natural butter substitute, but recently began using Original Country Crock. I expected a fluorescent yellow goo that tasted like chemicals, but was surprised with something that looks and tastes similar to real butter. It blows me away how easy to spread it is, it's great on potatoes or a freshly toasted English muffin. I have yet to try it with baking, but understand that it works well for that. I just may buy this again!

For years I've absolutely loved Country Crock. This new version is horrible. My son and I had some of the "old" recipe left and did a side by side comparison and both were disappointed. Texture, taste, and smell were all wrong. Now we're on a search for something else.

But I didn't need that to tell you that the contents of this brown/tan bowl are an absolute classic and must for baking, cooking, and anything else that involves the delicious taste of butter! Pro tip: put a little in the microwave for about 10s, just to get it liquid. Then take your melted goodness and shake in a bag of popcorn for some extra butter loving!

I went into the store yesterday and when I went to the butter section I was very disappointed to see they no longer had the Original Country Crock, they only had the new recipe. I've been eating country crock for over 15 years. Now sadly I will be using another brand as to this new recipe is absolutely horrible. The taste is disgusting to my family and I. After reading the reviews on here I see that Country Crock has lost many loyal customers and they will continue to lose loyal customers until the Original recipe is back to normal and this new recipe is gone!
