[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Country Crock original spread has a pretty good flavor, but what impressed me the most was that you can bake with Country Crock. The company even has a cookie recipe online that uses their spread. If you use Country Crock to bake with, you don't have to wait for the spread to soften or even bother with a mixer - it's easy to mix up by hand. The cookies turn out soft and cake-like. Very disappointed with new changes. It leaves a bad taste to anything I try it with. Looking at reviews I see some 5's but, they're from people who received the product for free. The ones who bought it are all showing 1's! This gives me hope, that you'll come to your senses, and go back to the original! If not, I'm sure this will be discontinued!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to try Country Crock, as I've heard it's improved significantly with more natural oils and fewer chemicals as were included in the past. I was impressed with the improvement in taste and texture, but I think I'll stick with my Amish butter. The best thing about it was the spreadability for days when you need to spread butter quickly and it's still in the fridge.

I baked some chocolate chip cookies from a pre-made mix. I found that the cookies had a very fluffy texture, which was yummy. I think this spread will also be delicious on bagels, toast or grilled cheese.

I have purchased country crock in the past and sometime have veered off looking for a "better" butter but no such thing exists! Country Crock is THE BEST BUTTER! It is used for practically anything. Bagels, bread, cooking...honestly you name it. It tastes delicious in everything.

From my cookies, bagels, Mac n cheese to just licking it off the spoon after I put it on my toast! It is so creamy and loaded with great flavor, makes everything taste so much better. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just had a chance to try this new recipe thanks to Influenster & Voxbox and Country Crock and I am some what impressed while I will say the old recipe seemed to have a slight bit more flavor it was also probably from the salt content. This new recipe seems to be less salty and heavy/oily and more healthy which is a plus for me. This is definitely my go to butter/margarine when I am not using real butter. Not to mention they are generous with the amount given in the container and it is very easily spreadable. I never do this, but I just gotta say that this new simple recipe is terrible! I have been going from store to store trying to find one that still has some of the original kind left and of course no luck. I understand you wanting to please consumers, but I believe you've missed the mark on this one. I've been trying to find another brand for replacement and have bought several but nothing that I like as much as the original country crock....will keep looking though. Perhaps you could put BOTH out there and those of us that HATE the new one could simply buy the one we LOVE!!

The additives are not horrible although, soybean oil is not ideal. I used it for cookies and they turned out well, as well as using it on everyday things such as toast and pancakes. I would recommend it to friends and family that don't prefer good ole butter. I did receive a free sample in exchange for my honest review.
