I am a long time customer of Country Crock. I bought the new recipe and I am extremely disappointed. The change was so obvious with the first bite. It lost the butter taste and now tastes like "margarine." There is now no difference between Country Crock and the cheap margarine. I am so disgusted that I will definitely not buy it again. I am now searching the market for another product. I don't understand why they don't offer the choice to their customers and bring back the original product.

The taste is inferior to butter and why would anyone put all of these chemicals in their body when a tiny bit of natural butter would do the trick. Would never buy for myself. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Growing up, there was always a tub of country crock on the table to pair with veggies, potatoes or bread. To me, it was butter. When I got the opportunity to try a new recipe for country crock for free, i jumped on it. It was just as I remembered, a smooth spread and rich oily taste. As an adult, I usually prefer butter and in this case, that remains true. But, its nice to know that some things never change :)

I have a problem with dairy products. The original Country Crock recipe was the ONLY margarine I have ever been able eat - and I loved it. The new recipe tastes revolting and I can't eat it. Not only can I not eat the new Country crock product, I find I avoid any foods that I used to enjoy with Country Crock. PLEASE bring back the old recipe for customers like me. And looking at the reviews, I am not alone.

There's really no comparison with any other butter than this brand. My husband uses this in everything. The flavor and taste is amazing. Even though my only complaint is my husband always leaves crumbs in it all the time. Lol

I tried to make cookies again and they didn't turn out right. The butter was good in my banana bread though and of course on toast and in veggies.
