It has the saltiness and spread ability that I like for toast and garlic bread. It is also great for the make it yours cookie recipe from Country Crock. I like how it made the cookies be soft but add a crunch as well.

It melts great as well as does not leave food tasting or looking oily. It is the only butter my family will use would defiantly recommend it.

Maybe it's just me but I haven't had any problems with this butter. It has cooked perfectly with my popcorn. My rice, vegetables...everything I can think of to put butter on this haven't given me any problems. This little tub goes a long way too! I believe I purchased a tub of this in January of this year and now I'm almost empty so I will be buying another. For a 5lb tub for this price you can't get this type of deal anywhere else.

I have used your spread for more than 20 years, and I am very disappointed in your new tub. The old round one used to keep the spread fresh and moist, while the new one is thin and flimsy, and doesn't keep the product fresh. These are also worse for the environment, despite using less plastic. I never threw away your old tubs- we use them for leftovers, popcorn bowls, hot sauce, crafts, etc. I can't re-use these new cheap tubs for anything so they go straight in the trash. Please listen to your customers and bring back what worked.

I received Original style Country Crock Buttery Spread for my honest review from @influenster and couldn't be more excited to share my opinion. Conveniently, this is the only butter my mother bought my whole life, and it's the only butter I buy now that I live on my own. Now, of course I've eaten other types of butter at other houses, restaurants, etc. I STILL come back to Original Country Crock every time. The taste is perfect. It spreads so easily for toast. It browns perfectly for grilled cheese. I use it for anything and everything I can! I love it even more now that they've made their recipe healthier than ever before.

Stop the Press! I can honestly say that since trying & baking with Country Original Butter, there will never be another brand coming through my door! The taste & consistency are perfection & my cookies have never tasted better! From the ingredients to the container, this just can't be beat! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think overall this product tastes good and spreads well. I am not really a fan of non-butter products so I would prefer that it's not a margarine-type product. I prefer to give me kids more natural, less processed foods.
