As an extreme butter lover who doesn't stray much from the "real thing" I was happy with how this product worked and tasted, especially in cooking. I really like the simple ingredients list as well. Plus no cholesterol or preservatives!

I have always loved Country crock spreads. I use it for baking, spreading on breads, waffles, pancakes and veggies. It adds flavor to any great recipes you make. I live that it has no preservatives 0 trans fat and no hydrogenated oils. It is nice to know I am giving my family great taste with a natural spread.

My family is very impressed with not only the taste but that it's also gluten-free and only has 50 calories per teaspoon. A huge plus! I can also certainly appreciate that it fits nicely into our refrigerator with the convenient space saving design. It's an all around winner!

In a pinch I grabbed the Country Crock Original, Garlic Powder, Bread, and Toaster Oven. This turned out better than I could have imagined and so easy! I have tried other brands, but have always came back to Country Crock. It is great on toast as well as baked in your favorite recipes. We use it to make grilled cheese sandwiches, we add it to our mushrooms when they are being saute, we put drops of it over our chicken when we are baking it. I have to say though baking with it is my favorite. I love the fact that it is so soft and I can place a small amount into a glass bowl and microwave it at 10 second intervals to completely melt it. The new "original" recipe seems creamier than the old original, which I love. I also love that the new tub isn't round. I found the old rounder tub made it bulky and hard to place neatly in the fridge. Now it comfortably fits inside our drawers taking up no more space than necessary.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was pleased with the Country Crock Original spread, being that it had no artificial preservatives, trans fat, cholesterol, or partially hydrogenated oils. I see that they have taken into consideration the need for more real ingredients. I have used this product on my morning gluten-free toast and also on some fresh banana bread that I baked. The taste was buttery, even though it is actually made with oils, salt, and vinegar. I actually understand all of the ingredients on the back of the container which is also a huge plus. The spread is smooth, making it easy to use 'for spreading', and it keeps its consistency in the refrigerator. I did use it to cook some pancakes in the frying pan and I didn't like the taste of the spread thereafter. I believe this product is best for melting over very low heated foods like toast, veggies, mashed potatoes, topping pancakes, etc, OR in baking recipes. I believe the extensive heat from the frying pan breaks down the spread, which changes its flavor. Overall, I did like the spread and was happy with the improvements that they have made to the ingredients, being real.
