I will always remember the brown, round tub of goodness on the bottom shelf of my parents refrigerator. It made morning toast with my dad so much better. The creaminess, the flavor. .there is nothing comparable to Country Crock. Now, I am using the Country Crock Original with my kids hopefully passing down memories of buttery goodness!

Sure, I might prefer one brand to another, but I've got a family on a budget and that often means buying whatever is on sale. I really appreciated being able to try this product. My family is not the type to spread butter on anything (like pancakes or muffins, for example), but I do use butter in my cooking. So far, I have used this butter while cooking Macaroni and Cheese, mashed potatoes, grilled cheese, chocolate chip cookies, and Blondie bars. To be totally, 100% honest, I did not notice a huge difference tastewise. As I said, I don't spread it & just eat. It's always baked in & cooked. But I can say that I love the way it spreads, and it somehow felt less oily to me. I grew up eating Country Crock, so it is a brand I definitely trust.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Country crock butter is almost a unspoken requirement from my family, they all have always used it so when I moved out on my own I tried to get a different brand and was very disappointed! Country crock is so tasty without being overwhelming it has healthier options and so easy to spread!

The taste is not as big a concern for us as the fact that we have had to throw two tubs away for growing mold. If you are not aggressive in keeping the product refrigerated, it has grown a blue-green mold. We never had this problem in the decades we used it prior to the recipe change. This is obviously a bigger concern than poor taste.

Country crock original butter is the ultimate addition to any recipe...reminds me of being in my grandmo hers kitchen, waiting for a fresh loaf of homemade bread to come out of the oven!
