I grew up on this stuff and though I always enjoyed the taste and loved the spread ability, I decided it was healthier to use real butter when I grew up. I like the ingredients and flavor in the Land O Lakes best but it can be a bit pricey. The Winco brand flavor will also work if I'm doing a lot of baking and is cheaper. Land O Lakes® Salted Butter

I've used Country Crock for over 35 years until the recipe was changed.... it taste awful and literally ruins everything I've put out on...I don't know why anyone even buys this anymore! For the love of god please go back to the original way it use be! Will never buy again unless that's done... What I most about Country Cock original butter is that it is consistent; you always get great quality and great tasting butter. It can be used both in cooking and alone. Country Crock original is also affordable for today's families.

The only thing that I didn't enjoy was the oily aftertaste that it has. I'm assuming since it has to be made this way for the spreadability of the product but I don't like that taste very well. I would just prefer real butter.

I use it for everything from pancakes to cookie to vegetables.... anything that requires me to add butter or margarine. The value you receive when purchasing a tub of Country Crock is unbelievable. It's one of the reasons I tried it initially. A tub will typically last a very long time, and it's typically just a few dollars or less. It's important to me that I choose products with no added preservatives, and this product meets that expectation. I especially love the fact that I can get different formulations, such as the one that has extra Calcium and Vitamin D added. As a middle-aged female, I'm always looking for products that can give me an extra boost of Calcium and Vitamin D that my body needs for strong bones and good health. While I've been a huge fan and customer of this product for over 20 years, I recently was provided with a complimentary tub of Country Crock in exchange for my honest review.
