My family and I have been using Country Crock for years. Nothing compares to Country Crock butter on a hot biscuit or pancake. I was excited to see the new container and never really noticed the "Simple" recipe label. First taste I looked at the container and thought I bought the wrong one. Trip back to the grocery store to look for my beloved Country Crock and to my surprise all those pretty containers says the same thing. I don't like to cook with it and the taste is terrible. Looking for a new butter in south Carolina :(

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Country crock butter is the only butter I use for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Cookies, mashed potatoes, making pancakes, eggs, every single thing. It's rich and creamy.  My mom bought it for our household and now I buy it for mine.

I do not eat this type of spread due to my personal WOE, however, my family loves it and we are already purchasing more of it. They loved it on their corn cobs and baked potatoes! I received this product complimentary from Influenster for testing and reviewing purposes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I grew up on vegetable spreads (and still use them when I visit my parents), and I do appreciate that this now has no artificial flavors or preservatives, and 0g of trans fats. That makes me feel better about consuming it, and about my kids consuming it. I just prefer the taste and textures of foods with butter. I can honestly tell that this isn't "real butter", because that is what I'm used to eating, so I don't prefer the taste on toast or potatoes. Using it in baking did make the cookies taste slightly different (to me) and have a slightly different texture, but my kids of course didn't mind. I'd recommend a quality butter to a friend over this, but I wouldn't mind recommending this if they were seeking a vegetable spread. I personally tend to avoid soy, and have some concerns about the use of palm oil in general, but otherwise don't have any concerns about the ingredients.

I used it as spread toast and as oil substitute to cook. It worked very well. I liked the taste and the results were very similar to butter.
