We can make amazing homemade cookies with it, or even plain bread and butter. The taste all around is great!

I generally use an uncomfortably expensive vegan all-natural butter substitute, but recently began using Original Country Crock. I expected a fluorescent yellow goo that tasted like chemicals, but was surprised with something that looks and tastes similar to real butter. It blows me away how easy to spread it is, it's great on potatoes or a freshly toasted English muffin. I have yet to try it with baking, but understand that it works well for that. I just may buy this again!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried the Original Country Crock buttery spread and it worked great to make our chocolate chip cookies! We used this instead of traditional butter/shortening and our cookies cake out light and fluffy and my children liked that the cookies did not get hard and crumbly when they cooled. I got the coupon to buy the product free but this is 100% my own opinion. I also liked that the taste of the cookie did not change but by using Country Crock I reduced the amount of saturated fat by almost half if what it normally is using the traditional recipe. The only baking tip I would give is to keep your dough cold until ready to use, and make sure the Country Crock is cold as well. Overall, great product! ****½*...

I have been a loyal customer for over 30 years, my parents for almost 60 years. We DO NOT like the new country crock. It does not taste anything like what we are used too. We have never purchased another brand but this new butter is making us have to venture out to find to butter that is similar to our favorite original country crock. It makes the food we prepare taste horrible! So thanks for the change you just lost multiple loyal customers just within my friends and family circle. I have searched numerous stores in our area to find anyone that has any original country crock with no luck!

We are a family of 8 and have used nothing but country crock original butter! The first container I bought of the new recipe, I threw it away. I didn't read the label that said new recipe. Everyone that used it said "ugh the butter taste bad." So I threw it and bought a new container, well it was the same!!! That's when I realized that is was a new recipe! We try forcing ourself to eat it, but we can't. We try over and over again but the taste gets us sick!! It even makes things that we bake taste bad!! We can not tolerate the new taste. I had to go to the store and buy different brands of butter to find a replacement. NO other butter is as good as the old country crock recipe, but NO other butter is worse then the new country crock recipe!!!!! My family all agreed the Blue Bonnet brand is as close as we can get to the original Country Crock. So until the orginal country crock is brought back Blue Bonnet will be our butter of choice.

This was great because it's a product that's already in my life that I've relied on for years. I hate when butter is rock hard, because it is so difficult to spread on toast, even when the toast is warm. Country Crock is great because it spreads so effortlessly and has a great, authentic taste.
