If this is how Yo Mama makes pasta sauce, I'm glad she is Yo Mama and not mine. It looks pretty in the jar, nice consistency, but it is bland and lacking in flavor. Still looking for sauce in a jar that resembles Mom's simmered-all-day sauce.

Can't review the taste on this one. I've ordered for pickup twice and both times the lid was loose - I don't want to get botulism. Not sure if there is an issue with the manufacturer or what...

I love this sauce because the basil and garlic are STRONG. It is lacking massively in salt, but of course it is. Its supposed to be less. By adding some pink Himalayan salt and melting it in at the end, our problem was solved. It's also much thinner then the typical jar of sauce. We like that because it feels fresher like you picked fresh tomatoes from the garden to make it. But....next time, I'm going to start with sautéing some shallot and olive oil, add a half to 1 full small can of tomato paste for a few minutes and then add this sauce. I feel like that will definitely help thicken and deepen the sauce to more of what we preffer. Overall I'd buy it again, I'd just tweek it with some cheap fixes to customize it for our family. It is excellent quality for the price

The ingredients are great! Very few preservatives. I really wanted to love this sauce. It was too bitter. I had to add thyme, sugar and oregano. For those who really like a true marinara sauce, this is for you. Tart, bitter no zing. It tasted like a watered down salsa. It has plenty of tomato flavor but that tomato flavor is not blanced with onion and garlic. Good luck.

This is my ultimate favorite spaghetti sauce followed by the garlic sauce. I absolutely love their pizza sauce also, it is amazing. If you haven’t tried their ketchup you’re missing out. It’s not a thick ketchup, if you’re into that, then this isn’t for you, but if you’d like a fresh tasting ketchup that has a kick to it then you fall in love with it as I did. So far, I have tried all four products, the basil and the garlic sauces, the pizza sauce, and the ketchup, I am looking forward to trying their barbecue sauce next. I can’t wait!

Neither my wife nor I are particularly adverse to using salt, but we wanted to try this fair regardless of the “low sodium” descriptor. Let me tell you, this sauce tastes like very good homemade marinara!! The Italian herbs shine through well, and we consider it a real competitor to our usual Rao’s. If it tastes a little bland to you, just add some salt! It’s SO GOOD!
