Rancid in a day after opening the bag

Overall a good buy, but some bags seem to have a higher number of walnuts that have dark bitter spots and must be discarded.

I have been buying Member’s Mark Walnuts religiously for a long time, but lately, the quality has dropped significantly.The last few packages I purchased contained more walnut dust and tiny fragments than actual, whole walnuts. It is incredibly frustrating to open a new bag only to find a massive amount of powder at the bottom. This makes it nearly impossible to toast them properly, as the fine dust burns instantly in the oven or pan while the few whole pieces remain raw.I love the value of this brand, but the recent bags have been a major disappointment. I hope Sam's Club addresses this quality control issue soon.

I have purchased the Members Mark walnuts for years and have always found them delicious and a great quality. However, I will be returning these to Sam's. As you can see from the photo below, these are horrible!! They taste old, have some almost black in the bag and contain a lot of dust (apparently) in the bag. Taste was horrible.

I have been buying 48 oz. bag of walnut from Sam's Club for long time. Lately the Member's Mark quality of the walnut has changed and it's not acceptable. However, I bought three bag in the last month. Now a lot of change to the content. 1) Used to be at least 25% were half walnut, there were only a handful of half walnut this time. 2) The color of the walnut when break open used to be white, now is yellow (Old) or Black. 3) The smell and taste of the walnut is slightly unpleasant. 4) The expiry date is not long enough from the day I purchased. 5) There are many dark (Bad) pieces mix in with the rest. 6) Lots of shell Powder and small walnut pieces. I will be very hesitating to buy it again in the future. I rather buy at Sprouts Supermarket where I can fill the bag with scoop and no powder at all.

I keep these walnuts stocked. They are always fresh. I eat them as a snack or add to my baking.
