Just received it. We will see if it lasts. Nice winch, price was good and easy install. It would have been a 5 star but the remote they provide is huge (WAY TOO BIG) and not good for the handlebars on most ATV's. I had to drop another $35 on a different remote (c18014) so it would fit my quad. I do NOT like spending additional $35 on something that should be perfect out of the box. Champion should have put a disclosure on the box or let you pick a different remote.

Adding this to my Polaris 450 made my little ATV a true workhorse. It allows me to hoist logs up a steep embankment opening up countless trees for firewood I wouldn't have been able to harvest without it. Was a real game changer and it was simple to mount up. Love it!

This winch is awesome! Installed on a 2004 Polaris Sportsman 700. It was challenging to find the proper winch mounting plate for this old ATV, but the winch installation was perfect. This winch was the largest, most powerful, and best performing winch that would fit my application...like it was made-to-measure with a precise fit. Installation directions were clear & there was plenty of wiring to neatly tuck everything away. The wired controller mount could be improved, but it kinda got the job done. The winch itself: outstanding! It's been almost 3 years since I installed the winch and it had exceeded all my expectations! It easily moves the ATV or anything that I attach it to...probably getting close to the 3,000lb limit, it still works like a champ (pun intended!)! I would by this again in a heartbeat!!!

I needed a 12v winch to raise and lower my sawmill mechanism. The 3000lb unit works perfectly and should be a 4x overkill. The button controls are mounted on the saw and indicate up or down in my application. Since the gearbox is self locking it stays where I put is for days. Very happy with the winch and would buy it again if needed.

Use it affixed to stationary pole for adjustable tension and deployment of a long backyard zipline. The 3000lb rating is only possible, it seems with a quality battery. It's bigger flaw is in neutral the spool freewheels and the line jumbles up so that the entire length of wire must be rewound.

I have this winch on my Yamaha Viking side by side. Installation was fairly simple and went very well! I love the controller and that there is no need for a solenoid, and the buttons are very firm, so no accidental engagement. The operation of the winch works well and does its job! I only have two complaints, and both are very minor. ONE: the connectors for the battery were two small and I had to replace with bigger ones. TWO: This actually can be common depending on the situation, but after using the winch, you do have to unspool the cable and recoil it neatly, it does not spool neatly when used. All things considered, VERY well worth the money and a GREAT product! I DO recommend this product!

When I initially bought this product I thought it was going to be too big for my ATV but it fits perfectly. I wanted enough power just in case. It works well and there is enough wiring and the only downside I could say I wish the remote was a little bit smaller.

I mounted this winch on a plate that allows easy & quick installation on any of my trailers or vehicles using the two-inch receiver hitch receptacles. Once mounted, I connect the cables to a deep-cycle marine battery or to one of the on-board batteries & use as needed.

The winch rewind switch control failed intermittently on my first use. The Champion customer support team response was terrific. Within a couple days of my email complaint I received a response that a new control would be shipped to me. I received the new control yesterday. I still think there may be an engineering improvement to be investigated as when I opened up the defective control I observed the contacts had arced causing the failure. The winch performs as expected with the new control. Very impressed with the warranty and customer support response.

Installed on a 2016 400 KingQuad. The included mount does not fit the King Quad. You'll have to buy a KFI mount. Installation of very simple. The winch easily lifts the plow. We haven't had any snow yet so I have yet to work it. The only cons I have are with the control switch and wiring. I mounted the controls upside down, below the left handle bar. It's out of the way, but is still a bulky unit. I'm not to hip on the always hot wires. The Ramsey winch on my Jeep is wired this way, so I know it will work, but I'd still prefer a contactor or a relay.
