Bought this for my 4 wheeler. It is a great unit, it was bolt on to a can am Outlander. The polarity can be changed in 3 minutes flat, and the motor winding wire diameter is a good large size. Compared to a Badlands from Harbor Freight the wires in the winding are twice the diameter so they won't burn out under heavy load. I have used it pretty hard a couple times and it does the job.

The first two (2) a 2,000 lb. and 2,500 Winches we purchased were from Harbor Freight we still have another from them a 2,000 Winch first 2,000 winch switch went bad it would roll in but not out.....had to free wheel it after a while.... the 2,500 we got it on a Friday tried it out it went out O.K in rolled in O.K but when you rolled out or in it did not want to stop when you let off of the switch it wanted to roll in or out an extra 3 inches or so. Two days later on a Sunday when we needed to use it....it would not work at all....So Wednesday we took it back. ( Plus all 3 including the one still in use on my 4x4 4 wheeler is very noisy almost like grinding like noise ) All 3 were priced at over $100.00 but was running on Sale for $49 and $59 when we bought them. Exchanged the 2 bad ones. Bought one from Wal-Mart.com the Champion Power 3,000 Pound Winch runs smoothly....Super Quiet.... was SUPRISED on how Quiet it was compared to the Harbor Freight ones ( Badlands brand ) I GUARANTEE when mine goes bad from Harbor Freight ( the one I have on my 4x4 4 Wheeler ) I will come back and buy one for my 4 wheeler. Pay the extra $30 to $40 for a Real good Super Quiet Winch the extra $$$ will be worth it.

Bought this winch to replace a lessor brand that I had on my Kawasaki mule. It has not disappointed me as of yet

I attaced this winch for my atv. I have a Toy shortened so I winch it up into the bed of my truck. I leave the cable attached and it keeps the atv from moving around. It works great, quality equipment from Champion as I also have their generator! #ChampionPowerEquipment, #sweepstakes

I'm using the Winch on my Polaris ATV to plow snow. So far I've only had to use it three times. At the end of March,1st of April, when our Minnesota Winter is over I'll know better if I can bump the Rating Star from a 4 to a 5. So far (5) looks pretty good. Time will tell!

Installed it on my four wheeler as a back up in case I needed it for emergency use. have not had a chance to use it yet for an actual test. just tested it buy pulling it to my truck. attached a video of it in use and the sound seems a little noisy is the reason for the 4 stars otherwise I would give it 5 stars.

I have installed this 3,000 lb winch in my Kubota 900 RTV. It fits perfectly with no modifications to the front of the Kubota. I found the mounting instructions were lacking in describing the best way to mount the winch to it's plate and mounting the complete assembly to the plate in the Kubota. You should not mount one plate on top of bolt heads of the other plate. I drilled the Kubota mounting plate so the bolts that go into the winch also go through both plates and both plates are sandwiched together as one unit. I installed a rocker switch in the cab and used inexpensive wireless units to operate a contactor. The pushbuttons supplied by Champion should be a delete option. I ended up using the wires and ring connectors from the pushbutton assembly to finish the wiring from the contactor to the winch. Works great and looks like an OEM option to the Kubota.

This winch appears to be well-made. It didn't have much footage of wiring, so I had to mount the 2-button control to the dashboard of my Mule Pro MX. Also, the holes in the fairlead plate didn't line up with the base of the winch. I called the toll-free number and they sent me another one right away.
