I bought this assuming that “Espresso” is synonymous with “dark roast.” Most other brands have an espresso roast and it is (almost) always dark roast. And I only like dark roast coffee. My gripe is actually not that it is not dark roast, but that the roast is not clearly labeled on the front of the package. Instead Lavazzo opted to print its “intensity” instead. The words “Roasting: Medium” do appear on the back along with other blurbs of information staggered in English and French. I gave it 3 stars because I do not hate the flavor. It’s better than McDonalds. But it is definitely not something I would purchase again. It’s probably as good most medium roasts but it should be CLEARLY labeled “Medium Roast” on the front of the label.

Great espresso beans, have used for years Smooth no bitter taste

Pleasantly surprised how good this espresso tastes! Not bitter at all. Creamy, full flavor. Will buy again. My new favorite!

Had had another Lavazza, which you did not have this tine. This expresso is HORRIBLE - tasteless and a waste of my money.

Best tasting coffee. Found this brand while on a European cruise. So thankful we can get it here in the USA.

expensive but good

I’ve been drinking this brand for years. The ground version needs to be drank quickly as the grounds go stale. These beans don’t have that problem and make delicious coffee!

I luv Lavazza coffee...I wish Sams Club would carry this and other varieties of it in the store. Then I wouldnt have to shop in another store for Lavazza. I will not order this again, not online as I think it maybe a bit stale.

It was so fresh and aromatic! It was in the lighter side of roast which damaged my stomach with much acidity unfortunately. But the taste was superb and it produced thick crema. Hadn't I had this stomach problem, I would've continued purchasing this. Anyone with normal condition who enjoys thick crema and delicate acidity with satisfying aroma wouldn't be disappointed by these espresso beans.

family members have committed how good this coffee is.
