Awesome Tires!

I've had a set of the LTX A/T2s on my 4Runner for about 4 years now. Excellent tires that grip well offroad and run fairly smooth on the highway. I'm definitely not expecting the same long life like my last set of LTX M/S (99,900!!!), but they seem to be holding up fairly well right now at around 55,000 miles. My next purchase will likely be the M/S tires again, but only because I'm on paved roads so much more... Otherwise, these are great tires!

The only tires I buy!

My first contact with Michelin tires was on a new car I purchased in 1983. I got over 90,000 miles on those tires and replaced them only because the sidewalls were starting to crack from age. I have been sold on them ever since. The LTX A/T2 are for my 4X4 pickup truck. The ride is smooth and the tread noise is not noticeable on the highway. The tires look good and ride great. I hope to get many miles from them!

Excellent tire

These tires gave me 93,000 miles of service on a Chevy 2500HD. Ride quality was better than any other set of tires on this truck. Excellent traction in all conditions - snow, rain, dirt, gravel etc. Amazing that these tires out lasted all other tires on this truck by three times. Would buy again no question.

Poor on ice

I had these on my 4Runner when I resided in Utah. Long story short, they handled very poorly on ice; the LTX M/S's I owned previously were far superior. After driving on these for two winters, I went back to the LTX M/S's. Not as rugged looking (if that's your thing), but a far superior all-season tire.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, JML56. We would recommend getting a tire inspection at an authorized dealer. Please have the dealer contact us at 866-866-6605 to report their findings.

Excellent Tire

These are excellent tires. I had a set on my 2013 Chevy Silverado 2500HD. The original set hit 90,000 miles with tread still left. I had no flats and did nothing to them, other than rotating them regularly. I have never had a set of tires that have lasted that many miles. I put another set just like it on.

Good Tires

I run these tires on a 2012 F350 4 door FX4. I pull a lot of trailers and i spend a good bit of time off road. The tires do ok in the mud being they are a AT tire they seem to do better in the sand then mud. But I have 35,000 miles on them and they need to be replaced. I am not sure if its due to the loads i pull or what. Ovall they seem to be a good AT tire

Money Worth...

I just want to say that this is one of the best tires I ever purchaced. The highway ride is smooth, and the traction given off this tire in the dirt is pretty inpressive. For being an all terrian tire this tire is doing its job. I also will say this tire has good wear pattern. My research finally paid off..

80K+ and still rollin'...

I've had good and bad luck with tires over the years, not discriminate to brand. But Michelin & Me got a good thing going! Purchased the A/T 2s in Nov.'07 for my 2005 Lariat. Driven in all weather from Florida (rain) to N.Dakota(snow) to Calli(mud/snow). I've used the tires for the purpose intended & have had great success. With "NORMAL" driving habits, just turned 80K in Sept. of this yr. These tires were not cheap, but It's been $$$ back in my pocket since 40-50K. My intent was to get as much wear as possible out of them. Rotate every 5K (-ish), and spin balance every 10K. I will definitely re-shoe with the A/T2s. I do see very slight cracking from age, but still have plenty of tread left. I'm good for another 10K, but watch them closely now & wont go any further than that. Pros: -handle & brake well on wet hwy -comfortable ride -they dont throw rocks -roll quiet down the hwy Cons: -no promotion for this tire. I'm thinkin' it's price. Dealers are more motivated to sell quantity over quality. -tires are rated for 80psig...ride's a little rough. Dropped to 68psig. Smoother ride without compromise in performance. That's my review. Hope it helps.

Dangerous

I have had 3 tires of this line have catastrophic tread separations. One occured at highway speed and the other 2 occured after the tires had been removed from the vehicle when the separation was noted. These were discovered while the vehicle was parked and the tires were removed. From conversations with the tire dealer, this is common for this model of tire. These tires are rough riding and noisy. I was suprised how much better the replacement tires were( not michelins). They are difficult to keep in balance and have poor traction on anything but dry pavement.

Best Tire For The Worst Weather

I had these tires on my 02 tundra (2wheel drive) for 40,000 miles. my buddies farm was no match for these tires... I tried to get stuck but they would go through anything and everything. I live in Cleveland and get a lot of snow. uphill driveways every morning and even when we got a foot of snow in a matter of an hr, I never had to break traction to make it out every morning. I felt like I had chains on my tires all winter long. Oh by the way when I sold my truck I switched my tires with my dad since they were still brand new looking. now on his sequoia still and with another 10,000 miles driven on them. around 50,000 miles total and they can't be any less than 60% tread
